WEEK 6
Another week, another three lost - and this time all to one murder case. And that's to say nothing of the execution, or whatever went on with that ouija board that still sits in the library... strange things are afoot in the facility, and some of them not even your captor seems fully equipped to explain.
The other of the two doors in the main living area finally opens after another lost Saturday, and what lies beyond is... strange, to say the least. Looks like there's no shortage of changes, even in the architecture. It certainly seems like you should have gotten something like this before the water park at the very least, don't you think?
Angel's still out and about at night, if you want to be found. And who knows what else you might find if you're out alone? Apparently, you might have a ghost on your hands.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ooc: Welcome to Week 6! If you want Angel or to try your hand at the ouija, please make sure to note in your toplevel, same as an investigation! AC is over here, regains are here, and, well...

SUNDAY
Investigation
Della starts this off with some investigation. She has...some things she's promised and some things she wants to do. So, like the adventurer she is, she takes...the supply closet. Hey, even the small places could have big things! ...Oh, hope it's sized accordingly...or that there are stepstools. Eesh.
Finally, at last there's a kitchen! Wait. Why does Della care about this? She can't cook. And boy oh boy, you're gonna find that out first-hand if you wander in sometime in the late afternoon! She's...oh how is it already so messy? Are there eggs in her hair? There's probably eggs in her hair. Goop that might be some kind of batter litters the counters. And she looks...a little frazzled. ]
No... Come on... Third time's the charm...! Plus two... [ Is... Is that smoke? Oh that might be smoke.
Anyway, for completely unrelated reasons, Della's in a cute little pilot's outfit later in the evening as she sits in the laundry room watching her laundry swirl round and round in the washer, defeated. ]

Investigation!
But no. No, this place has something Birkin has been wanting for weeks, and swear to god you people have not seen him this happy literally ever.]
Excellent. I'm the captain now.
[Welcome to the infirmary, he has decided that he lives here.
He'll take some time to get acquainted with the place before deciding to actually get some investigation done; other than that, though, he's content to just look everything over and see what's here. Sure, the machines are down, but he's not going to complain about that much for the time being.
...He's so fucking stoked. Someone might want to remind him to like. Eat.
He'll leave eventually, granted, though it's later in the evening getting into night when he does; he's actually in the art room this time, because the hellpuppet collective is sixteen puppets strong (and is also being aided by seven matryoshka dolls) and he has decided to start painting the thing, apparently. He's not doing anything in particular just yet, just base coating, but it's something to do with his hands while he...frankly checks out a little, mentally. Still aware of his surroundings and the people that might be in it; all the same, he's fairly off in his head.]

Investigation
Right now, it's too hard to look at their faces... especially Ema's.
So she goes to seek out the new area! And, wouldn't you know it, there's a kitchen. She's honestly glad for it, because hello, stress baking, it's been way too long. Before she gets too involved, though, let's poke around in here for any clues... it's investigation time, baby!
After that, though, you can bet she throws herself into baking. There might be the smell of seawater in here, but there's also something that smells really delicious.
Needless to say, by the time late afternoon rolls around? In the dining area, Mira's hauled out muffins, cupcakes, and cookies... and a bunch of gingerbread, too. Please help yourself, because someone's gone a little overboard. ]

Investigation!
He grabs everything and rushes back inside.
Come nightfall, he's near the pool at the water park, building a fire. Yeah, with firewood and matches and everything. That's probably fine! He has the boombox from the bar, but he has no idea how to work it. He's not drinking, at least.
It's not until after dark and a change of clothes--it's black suit time, apparently--that he goes to investigate the new living room in Area E. The big metal panels draw his attention at once. What's even up with those?
By midnight, he can't put it off anymore. Looking somber in his funeral blacks, he brings something to Ema's room: a small toolbox, sanded but unfinished, divided into two compartments. It's not that impressive, really, but a pattern of Tetris blocks have been carved by hand into the sides. He sets it down on her desk and just stands there for a while, looking at it in the dark.
Once he retires, he again rigs his room to detect signs of intruders: this time, he's emptied a couple bags of flour from the kitchen all over the floor, because he straight-up doesn't give a fuck. He places a small piece of Ema's Scotch tape across the opening of his door along with the tripwire along the bottom. And this time, while he still places the little slips of paper in the vent grates to see if they move, he also slides an entire sheet into the air vent itself, with only one line written from him.
Can you write?
He slides a pen in as well and goes to bed.]

Investigation
Later on, when she feels ready to take on the new areas, she ends up checking out the living space first-specifically the games. She's going to open and flip through every box to see if anyone's left a note in any of them. She'll even flip through the game manuals for secret codes left inside.]

So on this Sunday, instead of exploring whatever new area's open to them upon "rising", she goes to get rid of them. She heads to the vending machine first thing with her fist full of coins, and she gets... a lot of junk. And then, also... ]
Oh no you don't—! Get back here!
[ This li'l guy comes running out of the vending machine room. Jasper, brandishing a fishing rod for no good reason, is in hot pursuit.
Later, she comes to the sewing room, a place she very rarely goes, and starts going through the various threads and yarns like she’s looking for something. She also takes a brief, disinterested look at the various clothes that have been left for enterprising salvagers, and pulls out a weird little capelet looking thing with an expression of angry confusion, feeling the material with her hands. She brings it back to the lounge, along with a spool of thread and some scissors, and steps into her room. Audibly, from inside: ]
Seriously?
[ There are more coins. How are there more coins. The next batch of items doesn't contain anything as ridiculous as Julius, but the wristband is curious. Unfortunately, even after raiding the workshop and finding a screwdriver, she's at a loss for what to actually do with it. Maybe interrupt her before her frustration reaches its logical conclusion and she ends up breaking the thing.
It's been a while since she patrolled, but late at night you can find her pacing the halls again (including the new areas, for the first time all day), this time wearing her stupid, stupid cape. She's carrying a newly-acquired spear, and her face is grim and purposeful. ]

Once she's done with that, and her new best friend is securely affixed to her back, she swings by the art room. That project is far less inscrutable, and it doesn't take her long until she has returned to the lounge to post the following message on the wall: ]
YOU KNOW THE DRILL BY NOW
[ Afterward, Rin spends most of her time in the new wing of the facility. Part of that time is spent in the second living space, investigating the... roleplaying games, with a faintly befuddled expression on her face. Her other haunt seems to be the kitchen, where she spends a lot of time painstakingly browsing the ingredients. Some of them even wind up lined up on the counter! ]

Oh...my.
[The crystals are sort of pretty, but given that she's a Gem, this is just weird all over the place.
After that, she's gonna swing by the infirmary. She knows enough about humans to recognize the use of this place, but of course she's never done anything with proper first aid. Normally she's got magic healing tears!]
I wish I knew what any of this was...
[The power is clearly out for most of these machines anyway, but at least some of this should be useful without, right?
In the evening, she'll be back in the lounge, working on her frankly slightly obsessive crocheting while watching a movie. It's Aladdin again this time; she's seen The Little Mermaid a lot recently, so why not mix it up a little? She looks up when someone enters.]
Would you like a stuffed animal? I've made a couple now, and I think they're okay.

Well, she'll be in the TV lounge later with a large, large pile of stuff to trade away. The New York tape is playing on the TV, just in case there's anything hidden on it. Spoiler: there probably isn't.
In the garden, Anna will show up to wander the flower garden and check out the pond. Maybe all that passive-aggression in the chapel is getting to her, since she's looking over all the flowers, both poisonous and not, contemplatively. ...she's also brought a dried-out bouquet of roses and dumped it in the corner. Compost???
Well, she'll end up in the chapel at night, despite usually avoiding the place. Right in the middle of all the passive-aggressive flower displays, she's enshrined... whatever the wolfsbane is supposed to represent, before turning away to walk out.]

TUESDAY
MOTIVE
[ It’s been a few days since you’ve heard The Professor, but he seems to still be a little annoyed after the technical difficulties he experienced on Friday, or at least he’s absolutely refusing to mince words.
Once you get there, you’ll find Angel handing out envelopes and once in a while looking bitterly at the screen - except these ones are double-sealed. An envelope inside of an envelope. ]
So. You all had a lot to say about me using your pasts to tempt you towards murder. Not much of it kind, but lucky for you all I have a thick skin about this sort of thing. So let’s think more… forwardly, shall we?
Inside each of these envelopes is an event from your future, in description and a photograph or two. A great tragic mistake or consequence. If you would like to know how you can avoid it, please be sure to kill someone by the usual appointed day.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled milling about.
[ And the screen and speaker clicks off! ]
[ ooc: A NOTE ABOUT THIS MOTIVE! If your character is from the end of their canon, or if you don’t want to accurately spoil them, or if for any other reason you don’t want to give an accurate picture in the envelope, feel free to get a little creative! A non-canon bad end is fine too, or failing that get in touch with the mods and we can figure something out. ]

He isn't altogether sure what he plans to do when he leaves; he finds himself at the infirmary again, because the setting is more or less familiar and it's somewhere to be that's in a weird location a decent distance from everyone else, and when he walks in he's fine for approximately two seconds before he calmly approaches the crash cart and rather abruptly flips the goddamn thing, sending it to its side on the floor.
(It's fine, if you're concerned about him breaking something on it; the fucking defibrillators don't work.)
So that was...loud, probably louder than he intended it to be, but it seems to have gotten something out of his system; he's still deeply agitated but he's just going to go mess with the scalpels and other surgical tools. Not taking any of them, just obsessively organizing.
He's not doing too great.
It's not the sort of "not doing too great" that's going to put him on the laundry room floor again; rather, he seems more angry than upset. He'll be in the aquarium later, perched up on top of the shark tank again; he doesn't seem any calmer, but it's somewhere to be and the sharks are something to look at, and it's somewhere that doesn't exactly manage to shut his brain off but at the very least it encourages a lack of thought about much in particular.]

She first goes to the woodworking shop. She grabs a bunch of planks and chunks of wood. Like big pieces. Hopefully no one needs them!
She's heading for a place someone wouldn't think to look for her. That's right. The graveyard. Er. Fossil room. The anger of it existing plus the motive will make it a great place to train. Nothing like desecrating the remains of dinosaurs with shattered pieces of wood.]

Maybe investigation down the line in the thread with Della
How's it even supposed to work.
[Late afternoon finds him in the gym, crouched by the wall and muttering to himself. Closer inspection reveals he's bent over the boombox from the bar, CDs scattered haphazardly around him. H...help.
Finally, his midnight wanderings lead him to the chapel, of all places. He takes a pew at the back, seated sideways so he can still see the entrance, and finally opens the double-sealed envelope he was given. He looks over the contents quietly and thoroughly, with none of the dramatics seen in Week 4. Eventually, he sighs, returns everything to the envelope, and folds one arm over the back of the pew, making a pillow for his cheek.]
If that's how it's going to be...

But that doesn't erase the images from her mind — swirling through it, one might say. It doesn't unread the attached message, which echoes through her head over and over. She wants to purge then both from her, to get rid of the weakness, rip out the pathetic part of her that can't simply disbelieve everything the Professor and Rose have to say, but she can't. There's just not enough to focus on, not enough material with which to blot it all out. So she does the next best thing!
She brings a spear to the fitness room. The noises that begin to emanate from inside it after she goes in are... not great! Jasper's exorcised her numerous petty frustrations here before, but it's never been quite this bad or this noisy. Eventually, there's the loud sound of splintering wood and a thud, and then it stops. The hulking back (covered by equally hulking hair) that faces any incomers seems somehow more solid and remote than before, a broadcast of the barely-contained tension and anger currently animating her form. She's not in the process of punching or impaling it at the current moment, which makes sense since the spear has been snapped in half and lies abandoned on the floor, but the punching bag seems to have already Seen Some Shit. One arm is braced on the wall. Without looking to see who's there, she says: ]
If you're not here to fight, get out.
[ She shows up late to the meeting, says absolutely nothing, and leaves early after she starts to look frustrated with the goings-on. After that, she's gone to her room for a few hours! But again, at night, she's patrolling. The cape and the spear aren't around this time, for all the change it makes. ]

SUPPLY DROP

So you'll find her in the fitness room, beating up a punching bag; in the sewing room, drafting out a number of patterns (she can't possibly be making all those clothes); in the garden, staring (more like glaring) at a number of the flowers before grabbing a handful of these and ripping them up; and eventually going back to the sewing room, stealing one of the dressmaker's dummies, and dragging it to the art gallery, where she's whaling on it with an axe.
Eventually, she'll remember to eat, if by "eat" we mean "sit in the TV lounge stuffing her face with Snackoos and watching baseball on the TV." It's a bad day.]

brian is spending some time in the fitness room today, as per usual. he's just working with hand weights right now. he's been at it for a while, if you can tell by sweat pouring off him. it's proceeding normally until there's a loud SNAP
and the hand brian was using just. breaks off at the wrist. he stares at it for a moment ]
Huh, usually I can tell when they're about to break off.
[ after that, he can be found in the sewing room, detached hand on a table as he's trying to thread a needle one-handedly ]
Shit, this is hard...
[ maybe someone should give him a hand............ ]

But whatever happened with Rose's motive, she doesn't seem outwardly bothered. Not by much more than everybody else being upset, at least. With that in mind, she heads to the kitchen pretty early in the morning. Mira showed her a few baking tricks earlier in the week, and it seems like that ought to be just enough to make some pancakes for breakfast! She definitely knows people enjoy those!
Luckily, pancakes really aren't too difficult. It even occurs to her to put chocolate chips in them!]
Would you like some?
[She is delighted with herself!
Afterwards, she goes to the vending machine. Most of what she gets is nothing - a couple buckets of bricks, a box of chocolates. Then, three large, semi-transparent panels of some bright pink material come out.
Rose kneels in front of the machine, shuffling through the panels for a moment. Then, clutching them to her chest, she stands and starts to hurry back towards her room.]

She will be elsewhere eventually! Like the memorials, which is weird because she's never in there? But she'll study them for a moment, looking between them and her device. Or, eventually, the vending machine, where she pulls out nothing of note, though she does stare at the green orb for a while. Whose is that?]
