WEEK 6

Another week, another three lost - and this time all to one murder case. And that's to say nothing of the execution, or whatever went on with that ouija board that still sits in the library... strange things are afoot in the facility, and some of them not even your captor seems fully equipped to explain.

The other of the two doors in the main living area finally opens after another lost Saturday, and what lies beyond is... strange, to say the least. Looks like there's no shortage of changes, even in the architecture. It certainly seems like you should have gotten something like this before the water park at the very least, don't you think?

Angel's still out and about at night, if you want to be found. And who knows what else you might find if you're out alone? Apparently, you might have a ghost on your hands.

[Today is another vending machine day for Rose! There's another of those black swords in there, which...mmm. But the item that really gets Rose's attention is this, uh...human skull. Rose catches it carefully when it comes out, to keep it from falling and breaking, but from there, she doesn't seem entirely sure what she ought to do with it.]

Oh...my.

[The crystals are sort of pretty, but given that she's a Gem, this is just weird all over the place.

After that, she's gonna swing by the infirmary. She knows enough about humans to recognize the use of this place, but of course she's never done anything with proper first aid. Normally she's got magic healing tears!]

I wish I knew what any of this was...

[The power is clearly out for most of these machines anyway, but at least some of this should be useful without, right?

In the evening, she'll be back in the lounge, working on her frankly slightly obsessive crocheting while watching a movie. It's Aladdin again this time; she's seen The Little Mermaid a lot recently, so why not mix it up a little? She looks up when someone enters.]

Would you like a stuffed animal? I've made a couple now, and I think they're okay.

I'm not certain it would help any injuries you had, but they've got a good number of supplies here.

Oh, no, not for me. But what if someone else needed it? I'm sure it's good to know how to use all of this.

Perhaps, if you found someone in time. You've been patrolling in the nights, haven't you? Given you don't sleep.

I wouldn't say I'm picky about how it'll look, then. But if you're taking requests, a yellow bird would do fine?

Do you know a yellow bird at home, or do you just like them?

There's a yellow bird back home. They're called chocobos.

[ It was natural to miss home a little, so maybe he was being sentimental about having such a thing. ]

I don't really have a picture to show you, but they're quick and people can use them to get around.

Oh, that's okay! I'm sure I can manage.

[Look, if she has a picture she'll feel obligated to make it look like the picture, when what she's actually capable of making is just a fat round bird. Let's not bring pictures into it.]

There aren't really any birds big enough for people to ride on Earth. Some of them are tall, but they aren't that strong, I think. [okay so she's never tried to ride an ostrich]

[Well - she doesn't know which of these machines might be the most interesting, actually. They all look pretty industrial. Some of them have places where you're clearly meant to put a person, or their arm, or something, but...let's poke around a little more. Rose opens a door.

......Rose closes the door.]

Why is that full of blood?

That's in case someone needs a transfusion. Either because of blood loss, or because they're sick and their body isn't making enough blood to sustain themselves at the moment.

[Or they're Alice, but we don't...we don't talk about Alice.]

We can use needles and tubes to infuse it into a person, to help keep them alive. I can imagine that's a little jarring to just kind of find like that, though.

[Yeah, Alice certainly occurs to her to, but she doesn't really want to bring her up. To think something like this was just here the entire time...]

I didn't know humans could...not make blood.

Usually that's only if something's gone really wrong. That's why eating is important - not doing it for a little while is okay, but if you get too malnourished then our bodies start breaking our blood down for the proteins in it.

That sounds painful! [like what can you say to this] Gems need light to maintain our forms, but it doesn't really hurt to be shut up in the dark. It just makes you really weak!
