WEEK 6

Another week, another three lost - and this time all to one murder case. And that's to say nothing of the execution, or whatever went on with that ouija board that still sits in the library... strange things are afoot in the facility, and some of them not even your captor seems fully equipped to explain.

The other of the two doors in the main living area finally opens after another lost Saturday, and what lies beyond is... strange, to say the least. Looks like there's no shortage of changes, even in the architecture. It certainly seems like you should have gotten something like this before the water park at the very least, don't you think?

Angel's still out and about at night, if you want to be found. And who knows what else you might find if you're out alone? Apparently, you might have a ghost on your hands.

[ Nope, not really. It looks... humanoid? Maybe? But it was just started recently. ]

If there's nothing else on the desk, she's gonna start opening some drawers. ]

[ Only one of the drawers really opens - the others are locked, and you get the feeling you're going to have to come back later for them. Like you can look for the key but spoilers it isn't in this room.

Inside are some office supplies and a single piece of paper, which reads as follows:

I. The Failsafe is not permitted to make contact with any other party in the experiment other than The Professor, who will keep a communication channel open to her at all times.

II. Where needed, the Failsafe will assist in maintenance tasks at the guidance of the janitorial staff. This will primarily include assistance in body disposal, but may also include other duties.

III. The Failsafe is permitted, when the experiment is not in Trial Phase, to leave the premises and return to the Control Facility at her leisure.

IV. When the experiment is in Trial Phase, the Failsafe must be on call both for body disposal and in case of disruption or mechanical failure during an execution.

V. In case of emergency, the Failsafe may be called on to replace the Assistant. ]

[ Well, Della herself will keep an eye out for some keys and try the green key on the drawers, but we know that's to no avail so no worries there.

What does cause some worries is this lovely little list of rules! ] The Failsafe...? [ There are some thoughts about this, but Della won't jump to conclusions. Alright, let's... Okay, you know what? This is too much to remember, and Della's going to try and make it look like she wasn't here. So she's going to spend some time copying this down on her handy dandy notepad before doing anything else.

When she is done, then it's time to move on to another section, correct? ]

[ Yup! You've got the shelves, the rack, and the tunnels - the locked door is mostly important in that it is here and it is locked. ]

[ We're going to the shelves, then. What's on these shelves? ...How, uh. How tall are they too, is she gonna have to strain for this? ]

[ There's a few of them behind the desk! She can get to them okay - there's a few assorted little art pieces, but they're much more sparse than Angel's. There are, however, several small woodcarvings! And a small safe, but that might also be for Later. ]

[ Aw, heck it, another lock. What are those woodcarvings of? ]

[ There are a few birds, uh. A sword? More than one of these are just a very small sword. One might be the moon, have fun with that one! And one of them, near the front, is a humanoid figure with wings. ]

[ Della will not desecrate the moon, Della will not desecrate the moon, Della will not desecrate the moon--

Any other distinguishing characteristics on that humanoid figure, besides like...the wings? ]

[ Not really! Whoever made all these has a very... functional style, detail work doesn't seem to be their area of expertise.

That's all for the shelves, though! ]

[ Alright, notes taken on this...

So, it's time for that weapons rack. ]

[ There are a lot of sword here! This person really likes swords!!

Two things of minor note here: one of those swords is looks an awful lot like the one that killed Nova, and there's a lever next to the rack. ]

[ You know those conclusions she's not jumping to? Yeah, well. Better get a spotter, because it may be time to take that leap.

The sword's...cleaned, right? And. Uh. She eyes that lever. The inner child/adventure-maniac in her is screaming DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT but she shows. A modicum of restraint. Restraint!! ]

[ Oh for sure. All the swords are cleaned and polished as hell. And you are absolutely free to ignore the lever if you like! It does not lead to Essential Evidence. ]

[ A training dummy drops down from the ceiling nearby! It's face is uh...

Okay, so you remember that mask Mira found a picture of? It looks like someone shattered it, then reconstructed the shattered pieces and strapped them to the head of the dummy with an excessive amount of tape. ]

[ ............oh the plot fucking thickens doesn't it.

Della takes extensive notes. On this one. Ha. Haha. HA.

...Wait, how does she get it back up in the ceiling? Does she just pull the lever the other way? ]

[ That'll do it, yep! Which just leaves the tunnels, which I'll quickly describe so this inves thread doesn't get drawn on much further...

The tunnels seem to lead out to pretty much every other area in the facility, with several trapdoors and ladders leading up! The trapdoors are all locked, however, and require a card key to open. Except for one in the library, which does in fact unlock from the inside - just in case you want to take someone down here who can't crawl through such a narrow space. ]

Where's the locked door in the library lead? Like...how's this look, you gotta give me a cool visual here. ]

[ One of the smaller shelves actually pushes back to reveal the trapdoor and passage! It was hidden like... ridiculously well. ]
