[ ...All of that happened, huh. That's the sentiment each and every week, and it's no different this time. Except, this time they've lost more people than before. Five.

The gathering invitation is slipped under everyone's doors, but it specifies something a little different. ]



[ That's a good two hours or so of difference. Enough time to wander around, for sure.

But, in the garden, at the appointed time, there's a variable arrangement of fresh-cooked food. A good amount of beef stew, some Chinese hot pot, and...watermelon? Just, an absurd amount of watermelon, cut up and set on plates. All the food's set on tables that seem to have been moved from the library, and the ground is littered with blankets, for those who don't want to sit on the grass.

And yes, she did not lie. There is, indeed, a variable fuckton of alcohol. (And coffee, for our underaged.)

This has become routine. But, we're still here. We're still alive. ]

The stone, specifically. Though I suppose the latter turned out to be true as well.

Wish I'd asked her more about it. But she always explained things with words I couldn't pronounce, let alone make sense of.

I never asked her for much detail...the closest I got was when we first met and she mistook Aria for a created familiar of some sort.

Heh. Guess that's what would've made sense to her. It's so damn hard to imagine everyone's different worlds. Maybe we'd do better if we all had the same frame of reference.

[He doesn't specify at what they'd do better.]

Probably the Professor thought it'd contribute to the distrust we had for each other. Though at least the museum has some references for all our different worlds. [Which is also kind of strange when taking some of the other locations into account.]

Only so much you can learn from a map.

Yeah...pretty much just confirmed that there's some similarities between this world and mine, at least regarding the shapes of some coastlines.

Mine doesn't even have that. Orsterra doesn't look like any of the others. Even Skyrim and Thedas are different.

[A nod.] Kind of hard to predict what might match up and what won't. I suppose it could also have something to do with different time periods, but don't quote me on that.
