Friday, the day The Captain set for your murder deadline, arrives without much fanfare. There are no trumpets, you aren't woken up by any kind of monologue or announcement... dawn simply arrives. Wonder what that means. Maybe yet another of The Captain's plans has fallen through.

The hallway outside of your rooms seems free and clear of anything suspicious, but... something tells you it might be a good idea to check farther afield. Happy investigating, passengers!

[Well, Plumeria doesn't want to check out the body at all, so she's going back here towards the direction she went to the gym from--anything obviously off here?]

[ Well, if you want obvious, the fashionable red hat sitting in the middle of the deck might be just what the doctor ordered! ]

[Well, hello there. Plumeria...definitely has a feeling on just who's this is, but is it indeed the hat our poor red-clad victim is missing?

Plumeria's just going to pick that hat up and examine it, though, either way; any sort of wear and tear on it? Maybe stains?]

Not so much wear and tear, but it is soaked through with seawater! ]

[Well, at least Plumeria doesn't have a lot of scruples with touching dead people's things. As long as, you know, it isn't the actual person. But that's...lovely, ugh.

Alright, well, keeping this for evidence purposes, but let's look at the floor here--are there any footprints or the like, perchance? Or just anything else on the floor in general. Plumeria's gonna give this a good sweep, but maybe somebody tracked some water...]

[ Good thinking, Plumeria! There are indeed some partially-dried footprints around that puddle Data found - not enough to get a sense of foot size, but there are definitely some around here. ]

[Well that's a nice score at least. Shame about the lack of a foot size, but at least they're here. Is there enough leftover to tell what direction they went in? Towards the pool, anywhere else, etc.

And if not, is there anything on the walls? Just covering all the bases here. Gotta be a busy bee.]

[ They seem to have dried up before heading any particular direction, I'm afraid. The walls are clear, though! ]

[Well, Zaveid is useless when it comes to looking over dead bodies, so he might as well head to the deck since he's here all the time.]

[ Well, something seems to be up with the railing, actually. ]

[Time to go look at the railing, then! What's noticeably off?]

[ Firstly, something seems to have jostled it a little loose. Which wouldn't take a tremendous amount of force, mind, but still something substantial. ]

[...Yeah, that's. Odd.

Is there anything else strange about the railing?]

[ There are some light scratches on part of it! ]

[...Hm. Weird.

Is it possible to tell what made the scratches? Nails, claws, something else...?]

[ Not immediately, though they're a little deeper than fingernails would probably be able to scratch. ]

[Well, the body seems covered, so Data will go in the opposite direction of Plumeria to check that end of the deck!]

[ It doesn't take too much distance before he finds a big puddle of seawater. ]

[ Sort of, yes! There's also a trail of it leading towards Area 1-A. ]

[On the side more towards the living quarters, or the party zone?]

[I also see that area clear message, but anything distinguishable about the trail, I guess? Shape, direction, that sort of thing?]
