So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

... I've heard singing before. What's so special about this?

It's not just singing. It's a story! It's...at least a distraction from being stuck here, for a little while.

[hardnosed]

So it's not just singing. It's singing that makes us passive.

[precognit]

There's nothing wrong with relaxing, Jasper.

[hardnosed]

Maybe for you. But I'm not about to just let myself go soft in this place.

[precognit]

Watching a movie has nothing to do with being soft. Besides, if something weird happens you'll be the only one not around to witness it.

[hardnosed]

[ There's a considering beat (and absolutely no response to the first part, everyone who watches a movie is WEAK and SMALL) before she asks: ]

[Alice shrugs, a twinkle of mischief dancing in her eyes.]

Could be anything. The Professor's shenanigans.

[hardnosed]

[ She seems to seriously consider this. The Professor clearly has control over whatever Angel's able to obtain, and that includes these broadcasts. Either he finds all of this so inane as to be below his notice, which is more likely, or he chose to allow it for a specific reason... ]

... I'm going to the fitness room, [ she finally responds. ] Maybe I'll be back. Later.

[Alice grins up at Jasper, shaking her head a little as she turns to walk back toward the lounge. She calls back in a lilting voice:]
