WEEK 2

So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to Week 2, your first case week! Remember to turn in regains here, your AC for last week here, and if you like, come visit Angel's office hours here!
emberserker: Manic smile. (can you not)

I'd be surprised if anyone in here hadn't by now. It's a useful pursuit. Why do you ask?
bogwife: Placed a cold towel upon my head (My mother came to my bed)

I just noticed you have "magic" listed in it and I was hoping to talk to you about it a little. I haven't had the chance to meet many people who can do it where I'm from.
emberserker: Casting something. (strings and things)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-20 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
I see. Yes, mages do tend to keep it quiet where I'm from. Some go into hiding, or try to take over other mage families. But then, that's just current circumstances. With "witch" in your title, I assume you're one as well?
bogwife: Whoa, Death (Oh Death)

[personal profile] bogwife 2020-04-22 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
It's more of a village nickname. What else do you call an unmarried woman who lives alone and sells alcohol and sometimes rat poisons out of a cave? [She tilts her head curiously.] What do you mean by "try to take over other mage families"?
emberserker: Stuck-up pout. (hmph)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Say one family makes an alliance with another, a member of one marries or is adopted into the other, and they use their influence there so that their line becomes the new heir. They do it to defend their own families or just because they want power. Surely any world's had that sort of person.
bogwife: With ice-cold hands taking hold of me (Well what is this that I can't see?)

[personal profile] bogwife 2020-04-22 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
So...how a lot of noble families where I'm from work. 'Course with it's much more strategic marriages and conveniently revealed scandals to get the leg up on one another.

It certainly never happens with mages though, that's new.
emberserker: Stern look. (this is why you're wrong)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
What, your home doesn't have mage dynasties?
bogwife: Won't you spare me over 'til another year? (Whoa Death)

[personal profile] bogwife 2020-04-22 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Not anywhere that isn't Tevinter. In Fereldan and Orlais if you show even remote signs of magic the Templars will be at your door to whisk you away to a Circle of Magi faster than you can say "Andraste's knickers are on the wash line" and that's that.
emberserker: Eyes closed, preparing to fight. (just a moment)

Mages aren't overt where I'm from either, not for 1,000 years now. Of course, some just go into hiding too, much like I'm sure happens for your sort, but my family's never seen a need for that. But yours are hunted down for something?
