So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

I guess that's true. Still, I don't know that it matters one way or another where he got her. The point is, she looks a little too perfectly disarming for me to believe his choice is a coincidence.

Oh, probably. I don't see what the use is otherwise. She couldn't even tell me what day it was.

[ Rin outright laughs at that, and it takes her enough by surprise that the noise comes out as a short choke. ]

Seriously? I was going to say it's the classic good cop-bad cop routine, but how useless is that?

Does she not know, or is she just not allowed to tell?

She knows the year. It's 2020, apparently. I don't know why they're withholding the date, though it might be something important to what they're after. Honestly, who knows why.

I wonder why we're allowed to know the year but not the date... It's not like we can do much with the information either way. Like, this is about a decade into the past for me, but evidently they've developed some sort of technology here that's beyond what we have in my timeline.

And it's not like I can use the moon cycle to enter Magiaconatus if they don't have it here.

[She definitely tried.]

Who knows. It might be good to note, things that make no sense tend to be.

Like it'll all fall into place as soon as we know more? Well, you might be right about that. Anything new is good to have, anyway.

At this point, yes. Which means more searching, though I know I don't have to tell you that.

[ With that, Rin lets out a heavy sigh. ]

I've gotta be honest — I'm not used to working with other people. But, I don't think any of us are cracking the case by ourselves. So... Thanks, I guess?
