So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

[Rhea's smile seems to lighten just a bit. She knew she could steamroll over someone if she wasn't careful.]

I imagine you haven't had to teach many people, though.

I have tutored a handful in the basics. Though, I will admit they more often come to me for tutelage in magic.

[philoxenia]

... Really?

[ There's something in her tone that suggests there's something more than curiosity she's feeling, but... ]

... Magic is that common in your world, Rhea?

[archboxer]

It is; there is a split between faith-based and reason-based magic. Faith is usually for healing and light-based spells while reason is focused on elemental magic.

[It's not as if magic is a big secret, so.]

I am skilled in both.

I see...

[ Huh. Mira is almost a little jealous--to be able to talk freely about something like this... but she knows that's not anyone's fault. Either way. ]

That's incredible. It's starting to seem like I wouldn't want to meet you in a real battle.

[archboxer]

[There are definitely some things Rhea wouldn't talk about openly but being a magic user isn't one of them. It would be pretty much assumed back home, after all.

She closes her eyes.]

I can take care of myself in a battle, yes. It is those who can that dislike useless bloodshed the most--or perhaps, should.

[ Ah. ]

Dislike useless bloodshed... I can understand that. [ An attempt at a quiet chuckle, though. ] But I'm sure I'd be pretty hopeless on the battlefield.

You never know, Mira. Everyone begins somewhere but even so it would be best to try to avoid one regardless.

[philoxenia]

... That's true. I'd rather not test my luck.

I think that is generally good advice.
