So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.

No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

[ "Standard laundromat style" isn't quite right, the machines are arranged in sort of a U shape around the walls that aren't the one with the door - each one is a stacked washer/dryer pair, and there are exactly 25 of them in here. In case all of you get splashed by mud at the same time, I guess? Each machine is flanked by a small container of off-brand Tide Pods and some dryer sheets, and every few machines has a container of bleach or fabric softener to boot.

In the middle of the room there are some benches for waiting for laundry, and a few small tables next to them. The floor is tile, as is the wall the door is in. ]

[Well, we can't say we aren't decently provided for. Nicer than the training facility gave anybody, anyway. He is kind of (unsure) about the Tide pods but they're probably fine.

We're going to start with the center of the room and work outward, then, making sure there's nothing attached underneath the benches or the tables in any way. Taped there, adhered there, whatever.

...While we're here, is there a pattern in the tile, and if there is please tell him there aren't any instances of bullshit like this because if there are he's going to fucking scream.]

[ Just keep the teens away from them and it'll be fine. There's also liquid detergent around, I forgot to mention - a couple containers floating around the machines for those similarly (unsure).

There doesn't seem to be anything under the tables or benches, unfortunately!

And you're going to hate this but in fact, in one of the corners...... one of the tiles has in fact been put in backwards. ]

...he is going to go over there and he is going to look deeply disappointed in it and he is also immediately going to be seeing if there's anything weird about it. this had better be important and not incompetence. is this a pressure plate. does it look like we can pry it up using something sufficiently sharp. is he just going to be mad.]

[ Well, wouldn't you know it? It doesn't seem cemented into the floor. That's looking pretty pryable, William. ]

[Fortunately for everyone here, he has a..."letter opener" that he's been keeping on the inside of his coat. Al showed him how to, once upon a goddamn time. Either way, it's a convenient thing to have and he hasn't exactly been walking around the place unarmed, so let's work on prying the thing up.]

[ This, as all things do, eventually comes back to Albert Wesker.

It doesn't take too long or too much effort, and he's rewarded for his efforts with.... some vaguely cryptic writing!

[This is why he likes investigating this place. Puzzles. Feels like home.

Okay, so. Standing up and starting with the closest machine to him and counting seventeen goddamn sets in. I am assuming there is nothing...visually weird about that particular set of machines and you are in fact going to make him physically work for this.]

Unfortunately, it looks like he's going to have to physically work a little for this. ]

After a few moments of deliberation in which he strongly considers going to get Jasper or Aela or something, he is going to look at this and decide that no, he can totally handle this without knocking it over (and if he does in fact knock it over he is not a graduate of the Prometheus School Of Running Away From Things). Can the damn machine be moved away from the wall any?]

[ It's possible to move it a little - it doesn't take much to create enough space to get an arm back there, where something's clearly been dislodged. ]

[...You know, in his experience shoving one's arm where one's arm doesn't belong is a great way to, like, not keep your arm - but you know what, sure, last time something like this happened he got a key out of it. Let's try to reach what's back there and retrieve it.]

So what we have here appears to be... a page from some kind of memo or letter? A lot is blacked out, including the names of the sender and recipient, but there's still some legible stuff. ]

Subject Γ remains stable, recommend regimen of [REDACTED], repeated exposure to [REDACTED] will ensure Subject Γ [REDACTED], but I leave the specifics of the [REDACTED] up to you. With any luck, we won't have another Subject β situation on our hands. Need I remind you, [REDACTED], you still owe me for the destruction of 23.89% of my laboratory. And I am only rounding down to account for my small part to play in failing to [REDACTED].

Further extractions have my approval, of course, but please try to stop bringing them in [REDACTED]. I grow tired of having to [REDACTED] them. Luckily for you, [REDACTED], this experiment of yours stands to prove as fruitful as it does, otherwise this would be an in-person meeting. I know at least [REDACTED] would back me up on this. And you KNOW you can't make this thing work without our support.
