WEEK 3
You wake up on Sunday. This is unusual in large part because, whether or not you did go to sleep, when last you checked? It was Friday. Saturday is missing.
And that's not all, either. Should you check your devices, there's a calendar next to the clock. The date?
December 31st.
The dead are still gone. Your material gains are still here. Every object you've moved on the ship has returned to the position it was in when you first awoke.
Once you've recovered from the shock of that, though, not all is the same as it was when you first awoke! The lock on the door leading down to the next level of the ship has been removed, allowing you free access to a whole new assortment of on-board amenities. Go play some laser tag while you try not to think about what all of this might mean!
And by the end of the week, well... maybe another tragic accident will occur, maybe it won't. No choice but to find out.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 3! Remember to turn in your AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

You can count on that!
[Playing laser tag can't be that hard! Even though it's pretty much the second time he plays, the first one having been just wandering around to get used to the place. This was the first game for real and he goes fully into it!
Well, he's doing what he can. There's only so much one can hide in the darkness when you're so dang colorful. Props and walls are pretty much his only option while he slinks around, trying to keep the good pace and find Yeager. If Filbo was a guild leader who uses like half a dozen weapons and knows how to fight, where would he be aiming for?
...
...from the higher places, probably? So Filbo instead stays on the lower ground, looking upwards most of the time. Alien deserts aren't known for being full of high places unless there are cliffs, but he still is half-expecting to find Yeager suddenly standing on some weird cactus for a surprise attack. He's trying to at least see that coming!]

Anyway, that is absolutely a good idea; looking up is always good, especially against someone like Yeager who is certainly used to sniping from afar. You'll be able to spot him before a shot is fired off - and yeah, he has definitely found a way to stand on one of these weird cactus things?? don't worry about it - hope you're fast enough to get out of the way!]

Fight. Not really the best choice because the point of laser tag is not giving your opponents the opportunity to hit you and score, but hey, attacking is important to win. Filbo fumbles a bit with the gun and tries to aim, firing the laser.
...well he missed. It's going in the general direction, but it definitely is missing, going over Yeager's shoulder by a couple inches. The second laser attempt comes closer and a third one would probably hit, but still, if there was any chance of trying to catch by surprise it sure was ruined when the first shot missed -- and Filbo still doesn't run to hide, a little too focused on aiming and trying to score]

Yeager's fairly quick, so he'll try to lose Filbo for the time being; how good are you at keeping track of him and keeping up?]

Woah!
[Steady, Filbo, steady! And aim. Stepping back to try to keep his distance, Filbo aims and shoots, his back hitting a bunch of rocks. Maybe that did help to improve his aim somewhat, as most of the lasers do fly in Yeager's direction. It's like he's going with the 'fire as much as you can, one or two will hit the target' strategy. Clearly the sign of a novice, really]

Good thing about this place is that the alien cactuses are no more than props. No prickliness at all! Filbo starts trying to climb it, biting on the laser gun to hold it while he tries to haul himself up the cactus towards the top. It's hard, it's...frankly it's pretty grueling and Filbo shouldn't be doing this, but there he goes. At least the cactus' decorations have enough holds to let him ascend.
...gosh, this is tall. Near the top Filbo tries to find Yeager. Uh, dang, he shouldn't have lost sight of him]

Then he lets off another few shots before darting away behind cover again with another laugh.]

H-Hey! Don't make me go get you over there! I just got up here...
[Trying to keep his balance on the cactus while aiming with the laser gun, Filbo waits for Yeager to pop up again, ready to shoot. Now if only he can stay stable enough for this...]
no subject
Anyway, now that he's up here, he fires a few more shots!!]
Two can play at this game, ja?
no subject
The bad thing about being on top of a cactus is that you pretty much don't have anywhere to go. He's a sitting duck, pretty much! Every single laser hits him, this really wasn't his best idea ever, hah. Still, he shoots, trying to take advantage of Yeager being up there on another.
Perhaps he should be getting off this thing. A little bit nervous he looks down -- oh this is a little high. He'd be fine jumping down, really, but it still makes him kind of nervous, hah]

I-I think so? Let me just...
[Filbo lets himself fall, miscalculating and just...falling heavily onto the floor. Paf! Just...give him a moment to roll around and try to get some rest before standing up]
I'm fine, I'm fine! So...how badly was I beaten? At least I scored four or five points, right?
no subject
You're sure you're fine?
[You seem fine, at least!! Anyway uhh... Well. Yeager definitely won, he's at least doubled Filbo's score...]
You did very well for your first try! This was fun, ja?
[The points don't matter, don't worry about it!!]
no subject
[Filbo manages to sit up]
Thanks for getting me to play this. It was...it really was fun.

[Even though laser tag guns are very different from real ones. It's the experience that matters!! And at that, Yeager laughs again.]
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself! It's a charming little game, ja?
no subject
[Theeeere we go, he's up. Uf, that was exhausting]
I almost couldn't keep up...! You really are something when it's about speed and skill.

[He isn't sure what would be better: that a name he doesn't expect pops up, or that someone who conceivably would be as good a fighter as Yeager is the one to defeat him]
no subject
I'm pleased you found me such a formidable opponent! I will let you know, though; I do enjoy a good challenge, so I don't intend to lose!
[except to data, he is not rematching data.]
