[ The circle of podiums remains, two more podiums rusted over and aged. Jones takes his place, meanwhile, looking out the window at the sea.

The shanty dies down, and the atmosphere darkens.

I'm in agreement with that, but I wouldn't put it past the Captain to have us deduce that ourselves and vote for Sylvando himself were that truly the case.

That's not the point of it at present; my assumption is merely that they wanted to deflect blame off themselves and conceal the truth. We've already shown that we can flounder and fixate on the wrong details, it wouldn't take much to get us off track from the true murderer.

The scrape in the paint is six feet up, others are saying it's from a spear because of how high up it is. And the body was dragged.

Who here is strong enough to move Sylvando and has access to a spear?

The scratch was made by something being leaned against the wall, so it's probably by a spear. I don't think someone holding onto a knife and leaning against the wall would have made the same mark.
