WEEK 5
Sunday arrives again. Even knowing the true face of your captor, Captain Jack, can't seem to stop that. The ship carries on through the Bermuda Triangle as normal. Or at least what passes for normal, out here.
As seems to be a running theme, a new floor of the ship is now open to you, this one a little tackier than the last, as well as a new section of the topdeck. The cycle you find yourself growing increasingly used to continues.
How long can this really last?

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 5, everyone! Remember to turn in AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

That's the point. This guy-- [He says, pointing to Bill Murray.] --basically exclusively plays egotistical assholes. Dunno why. Guy used ti be a comedian, I think, so that probably gives you an idea of what he's like.
[Anyways, the movie continues and follows Bill Murray's miserable first round of Groundhog Day.]
They do have a council of people who pretend they can speak "Groundhog-ese". S'bullshit.

Why would they need something like that in the first place?

[Time for Round 2 of Groundhog Day...in Groundhog Day.]
What would you do if you had all the time in the world? Just repeatin' the same day, over and over again.

That question though...]
I can't say I'd enjoy it. I'd probably see just how badly I could mess things up for the man I'm currently working for.
[With no fear of consequences for his actions, of course he would resort to causing chaos. But also he doesn't like Alexei, soooo...]
What about you?

[Now that makes Constantine pause and think for a bit! He scratches his chin, staring straight ahead at the screen.]
Being stuck on the same day forever...never bein' able to die or move on from those twenty-four hours. First thing I think I'd do is find the bastard who trapped me in that stupid time loop in the first place. Barring that, I....
[He trails off.]
...I really don't know. Might just waste away every day, waiting for something to take me.

[He falls quiet for a moment, eyes focused on the screen. After several minutes, he speaks again.]
I suppose the moral of the story is that, with enough time, people will want to be better versions of themselves. But the thing is, not everyone has the patience to wait.

An interesting moral. It is a nice, hopeful message. But I don't think it's true for everyone. Even if it isn't an issue of patience... well, I'd imagine frustration and anger would be enough to get someone to act out. An endless cycle like that could make a person much, much worse.

I suppose it's just a reflection of the daily agonies we face on a daily basis--only much, much more absurd and abstracted.
[As...you know. Movies usually are.]
If you want my honest opinion, though--the bastard-- [he means bill murray's character] --probably deserved to be trapped in a loop like that.

[People like the Captain, or Bill Murray's character, apparently!!]
no subject
You can say that again.
