Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.

Three more of your number gone - or four, depending on your point of view. But regardless, you're down three bodies. The boat is getting less crowded, week by week. A loneliness only exacerbated by yet another new floor, and yet another section of topdeck. There are almost too many facilities for you to use by now, aren't there? And yet the amenities keep on coming. One of them is even personalized, this time, and perhaps not in a way you're fully comfortable with.

Who knows, maybe if your number falls enough, you'll be able to just exist permanently on the different floors. Might keep you out of the trial room for more than a week.

Are you at the point where you'd settle for that yet?

And if you look to the horizon, out in the distance... there are clouds starting to gather on the horizon this week.

Oh, probably. If he's already resorted to such desperate measures, then I'm sure he'll decide on just that. Starving us two weeks in a row would be boring, after all.

Especially knowing that's not likely to work twice, where I doubt we have any more ravenous spirits around.

Then again, sending the ship into danger puts him at some risk as well.

I suppose it depends on how much faith he has in the ship, Mr. Jones, or himself.

[Or even how crazy he is. Some people would absolutely put themselves in danger just to get what they want, and he's not sure the Captain's that reckless or not.]

We should likely keep an eye on it to see if it worsens, but I assume we'll know very soon if that's the sort of threat he's going to give us this week.

Right. For all we know, it's something else entirely. Maybe even something beyond Jack's control.

I am interested in seeing how he'd handle something like that... but hopefully we won't all die horribly.

I'm growing rapidly less optimistic about that, but anything could happen.
