FIFTH TRIAL
[ It's not terribly long, once everything has been found, before Davy Jones heads out to round you all up once more and take you into the theatre. At least plenty of you are around the same area, so it probably doesn't take terribly long.
The ride down to the trial room is the same as ever - a blast of the organ, a slow descent. It's really starting to become clear, though, just how your numbers are decreasing. You're already down three, counting the absence of Chloe, potentially more when you come back up.
The crew of the Dutchman is singing as Jones lets you out into the trial room. ]
To business, passengers. I am about if you need guidance.
[ The circle of podiums is less populated than ever. So many of you are islands now, so to speak.
The song dies down, the waters quiet.
Welcome to your fifth trial.. ]

[A pause.]
If Plumeria was already dying, they probably saw an opportunity.

[That doesn't seem to be going over well with her at all.]

Given the fight that happened, it would make sense for us to assume that they killed each other... it would be easier to get away with killing her like that.

I believe the stomach wound would have eventually been fatal, but it may have taken some time. Enough that someone else could have intervened, perhaps.

I'm not quite sure where that comes from, since cyanide is supposed to have an almond-like flavor to it. But they might've mixed it with something else to get her to swallow it--maybe tea or something.

So, what? The person gets to wipe their hands of it all with hardly any evidence that they were involved. If that's what happened, I can't think of anything that might tie the person to the crime. Except, maybe the smell of whatever they poisoned Plumeria with....

Or just take inventory of who's gotten cyanide from the vending machine.
