FIFTH TRIAL
[ It's not terribly long, once everything has been found, before Davy Jones heads out to round you all up once more and take you into the theatre. At least plenty of you are around the same area, so it probably doesn't take terribly long.
The ride down to the trial room is the same as ever - a blast of the organ, a slow descent. It's really starting to become clear, though, just how your numbers are decreasing. You're already down three, counting the absence of Chloe, potentially more when you come back up.
The crew of the Dutchman is singing as Jones lets you out into the trial room. ]

...I'm gonna say it once again: the Captain cannot be trusted. He wants us all dead. It's the plain truth! I want to believe in people, I really do. The world is a painful place, and I really do think hoping for the best and seeing something good from everyone and everything is how it can be made a little less painful. But just because you hope for the best doesn't mean you can let yourself be blinded from it. That's why I try to face it, with...mixed results. You know that better than anyone here.
That's why I'm gonna tell you this: I'm not gonna ask you what you decided or what it is you want. I'm not gonna force that out of you because I care about you too much to make you talk about something so close to your heart unless I have no choice. But if you really, really do want us to live, you can't place your hope in the Captain. Trust us. We have each other and we're against the Captain, and in the end that's how we're gonna keep going forward. Because at least...
...at least by placing your hopes on us there is an actual chance.
[His voice wavers]
At least that way there's an actual chance this won't all be for nothing. I can't guarantee it. But I know you'll believe I'll try my best, and others here will too. It won't be perfect, but it'll be something.
