WEEK 7

Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.

Another week, another three gone in the case alone, not to mention Chloe earlier in the week. Even as you gain access to another floor, the ship by now must be starting to feel more empty than ever. It's been a long time by now, approaching two months.

Where do you think you'll be, in two months more time?

The clouds have begun to gather around the ship, this week.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to week 7, everyone! Remember to turn in AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

Starting early, I see.

[ The kid's cartoon villain, who has consumed alcohol once during the course of the game, probably wasn't angling for a midday drink, but maybe she noticed the sound of activity! Maybe Magica sticks her head in once every other day at odd hours just to see if Jimmy Buffet will be looking directly at her when she does! ]

So are the ominous clouds.

If I ever decide to have one, it's always in the afternoon or early evening. There's no reason to have one too late in the day in a place like this.

[ He'd rather it not impair his judgment around that time of the day for reasons. ]

...If anything comes of it before the end of the week, that will be a surprise. If these were just any normal clouds, I'd expect a rain or thunderstorm sooner rather than later. But it's obvious they're not.

... Fair, I guess. Of course, if someone does decide to spike one of those bottles it'll kill you at any time of the day, so maybe steer clear of the amaretto.

[ Although maybe animatronic Jimmy would narc an erstwhile booze tamperer out? Hmmmmm. ]

Anyway. If this were anything other than some sort of cosmic rebound for our current situation, it wouldn't have stayed the same all last week and only gotten worse on the reset, but you knew that already.

...Hmm. Considerate, but not without logic.

[ He'll look at the bottle he had used to make alcohol from... and decide to grab it and put it on the table; he'll take it with him. Since he doubted any poisoning will occur earlier in the week.

And so he could make a peach margarita on occasion or something in the future without worry. ]

I suppose that you're not exactly wrong in assuming I thought it was some sort of consequence borne from our situation. Though, I hadn't considered it a 'rebound' until you brought it up as a likely possibility until now.

Well, that's on you, isn't it? [ She doesn't say this with any more overt malice than usual! It's just kind of a statement to fill space. ] Don't forget that this a blood ritual... or sort of one, who cares. You can't have one of those without some manner of give and take.

As in, you give the ritual 26 souls, or it takes 27.

[ He'll accept her comment just fine regardless, seeming to take it as one valid piece of criticism.

He's not overtly familiar with blood rituals and voodoo and whathaveyou, but he did understand the basic gist of rituals/the occultic enough that it's a conclusion something he could've considered beforehand. ]

And though our captor is a good for nothing, he sadly didn't seem like the type to miscalculate the amount he'll need to offer up to sacrifice.

Oh, he's led the metaphorical oblations to the altar. It's in getting us to slaughter ourselves where he's shown his true colors as a miserable failure.
