Another week, another three gone in the case alone, not to mention Chloe earlier in the week. Even as you gain access to another floor, the ship by now must be starting to feel more empty than ever. It's been a long time by now, approaching two months.

Where do you think you'll be, in two months more time?

The clouds have begun to gather around the ship, this week.

[It's an incredibly unfriendly way to start a discussion, but it's not like Zaveid seems to mind much.]

Our odds aren't going to increase, if our numbers keep going down. We need enough to have a chance at taking him on, and not all of our numbers are combatants.

[I mean... Scott allegedly is? But Zaveid kinda doubts it.]

[ For a moment, he's silent in consideration. They really couldn't afford to be losing too many people...especially before they are able to do something about all of this.

Risotto definitely planned to just end it by shooting the guy in the face if he ever got the chance. Twice. Never hurt to double-tap.

Anyway, that's not exactly something he foresaw as being able to do alone necessarily. With Metallica, yes. Not that he'd need to shoot anyone if his Stand still responded properly... ]

You're right. I suppose it's a pity there's no way to keep all doors locked from the outside so no one could rise to the temptation.

If we're fortunate, we'll be able to locate more information that adds as a deterrent.

I guess the place being huge for so few of us is a little too much to hope for, huh?

If we can just find out where he's controlling this thing, and how... I don't like the look of the storm headed our way.

It'd be rather convenient for us if we could. Sooner rather than later.

[ ...He did wonder if it's placement meant that the 'storm' would be truly put into motion by next week. ]

You believe the storm is something that may be not in our favor?

In combination with the blood ritual he's got going on? Definitely not.

[He shrugs, though.]

I've got a feeling that whatever he's trying to summon is in that storm.

[ It was best they be prepared for the worst, to be quite honest. ]

Hm. We don't know for sure, but that's a possibility for us to consider.

In which case, we should be prepared for that being the case, since I doubt that it'll be friendly if it's something he's attempting to summon.

[ Risotto will casually add that to his list of hypothetical reasons behind suddenly clouds as of a week ago. ]

When it gets bad enough, malevolence can concentrate in an area and become visible as purple clouds or mist.

Malevolence can't be summoned, but I don't doubt something can show up with darkened clouds as a cover.

Hm. It's a pity that such an element seems almost impossible to eliminate completely in your world.

[ Because, you know, of all things that were wrong in the world he's in, he's glad to say malevolence was never one of them. ]

Regardless, your insight into the matter is appreciated.

Come to think of it, actually, there was this kid who seemed to have the power to dispel it. I've never seen anything like it before. He's a malak like me, obviously, but it was definitely notable.

But he's not here, and even if he were I bet it wouldn't do us much good.

Here's to the storm just being a storm, huh?

Probably not, given that our powers have been more or less disabled.

[ A small huff left him at the comment with in regards to the storm being just a storm, however. ]

...Zaveid, we both know better than to hope that. A deviation in our surroundings would mean a sign of something abnormal. We may not know what caused the storm, but considering our circumstances, this would be a fact we couldn't or shouldn't ignore.

Oh, I know it won't be just a storm.

[He rubs at his head, frowning.]

I just wish it were, I guess.

...I suppose I can understand that.

[ They really do have enough going on. There's a small pause as he considered something. ]

I did think something along the lines of 'maybe it is something in our favor', though it wasn't something I wanted to commit to for obvious reasons.

It could be. It's hard to tell, really. It definitely looks ominous, but that doesn't really mean anything.
