WEEK 7
Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.
Another week, another three gone in the case alone, not to mention Chloe earlier in the week. Even as you gain access to another floor, the ship by now must be starting to feel more empty than ever. It's been a long time by now, approaching two months.
Where do you think you'll be, in two months more time?
The clouds have begun to gather around the ship, this week.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 7, everyone! Remember to turn in AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

Ja. I really wasn't kidding when I said that they'll outclass me someday; Gauche and Droite are very skilled fighters. They can attack as a team or split up and work separately - it's almost like they always know what the other is doing, though; they're that well-coordinated. Both of them have access to magic as well. They can use elemental spells and they can heal. Even if their abilities are sealed like ours, they're smart enough to know when and how to strike, should an opportunity present itself.
[It's not like he lacks confidence in them or their abilities, it's the situation he's worried about. Droite and Gauche are clever and they'll know to keep their heads down, but cleverness can only get you so far in a place like this.]

They sound tough. Really tough. It must be amazing...to know your daughters can be like that.
[Filbo sighs, sitting in silence for a moment]
I...I admit I dunno what even is the right thing to say. Or the wrong one. It's not even as simple as saying you should or shouldn't do something. So if there's anything you think I can do to help, even if it's just for a few hours, then tell me and I'll try to get it done.
[Even though Filbo possibly wouldn't have dared to kill last week, Yeager still managed to see what he needed and did it. Filbo is not incredible at social skills and therefore is at a loss, but, well, he can't just leave and do nothing]

At this point, I don't think there really is a right thing to say. Our situation in particular is a bit... unique.
[What happened just before coming here is something he needs to apologize for - and he's not going to have the opportunity to do that if the Captain makes good on his threat.]
The last thing I want is to fall prey to the Captain's threat, but... Well, I don't know what I'll end up doing, honestly. But Filbo... Thank you. For always doing your best, even in a very difficult situation like this. Spending time with you always helps, truly.
[It's a little easier to remember why he's so damn determined to stand against the Captain with Filbo around.]

...
...it's a bit of a gamble given these probably aren't the times for this, but hey, maybe, just maybe, it'll work]
I once heard physical activity that forces you to focus is good for emptying your head even for a while. So how about it? How about you prove you can defeat me at that dancing game? Since you were so confident about it.
[It really requires focus to watch those arrows come. Even if you get frustrated at least you get frustrated at the game and not at your troubles, he figures]
no subject
Ja, I'd like that. Physical activity is usually helpful to get your mind off of things like this! Shall we?
[He's already grabbing his device and pocketing it, anyway!! Yeager isn't the sort to want to deal with his feelings (or even have them in the first place, tbh) so moving and trying to put it out of his mind sounds great, thanks Filbo!!]
no subject
[At first the cheer from Filbo came a little forced, but once he saw Yeager was willing to give it a try it turned more natural. Doesn't take long to get to the arcade, the DDR machine already awaiting for unwary participants]
You'll definitely be a better opponent than, you know, a strawberry! Will we go for the hard ones or would you prefer something a little less difficult?
[Brave words for someone who didn't reach said strawberry's score, Filbo, who are you trying to fool]
no subject
[...This is also a good way to see what sort of difficulty we should be stopping at so poor Filbo doesn't exhaust himself or get frustrated!! Sure, this is a fantastic way to get Yeager's mind off of everything, but it wouldn't be nearly as fun doing this on his own. So let's make sure it's fun(???) for both of us!!]
no subject
[He's secretly glad Yeager said that. Filbo may be more confident about DDR after not utterly failing while playing with Plumeria like he had thought he would, but boy is he aware he'd be biting more than he can chew if he jumped straight into the difficult songs. Theeeeeere we go, easier difficulty ones]
Let's do it. Stay sharp!
no subject
[Yeager's absolutely learned a lot from his experiences with DDR so easy difficulty songs are a breeze, but moving is really helpful in getting his mind off of the motive, and he's got a great companion to play with him so this is actually doing a great job of entertaining him!! How are you holding up over there, Filbo?]
no subject
It's good improvement from when he played with Plumeria -- the boost in confidence from that time does keep him from secondguessing as much as he did back then. Still missing several arrows, but it's not bad for someone who hadn't played this before arriving to the cruise ship.
He looks pretty dang satisfied even though he predictably loses, though!]
...o-okay, that went well!
no subject
Not bad at all! Shall we try the next one?
no subject
[Filbo scrolls through the list]
You really are doing just as well as I thought you would! Well, no surprise there, you were climbing cactuses and proving physical skills in the laser tag. This must be much easier than that in many ways!
no subject
[Laser tag's a bit closer to actual combat, this requires more specialized movement, in other words.]
Even so, I have practiced quite a bit - and Scott helped me out too!
no subject
[Filbo seems surprised! His opinion of Scott has improved throughout the weeks, having changed from the times he used to think Scott was dumb, but at least it's pretty likely Scott has his heart in the right place, at least]
no subject
Ja! He's quite good too; it seems he's had quite a bit of practice with a similar one back home!
