WEEK 7
Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.
Another week, another three gone in the case alone, not to mention Chloe earlier in the week. Even as you gain access to another floor, the ship by now must be starting to feel more empty than ever. It's been a long time by now, approaching two months.
Where do you think you'll be, in two months more time?
The clouds have begun to gather around the ship, this week.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 7, everyone! Remember to turn in AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

Investigation, also cw: encroaching dread
It follows her to the sports zone, and area which she has not gone in before. The facilities available here are a little confusing, especially the inflatable jousting, but she investigates the area with Emily and Jimmy Bear in tow, as if trying to refocus her mind on something new. How about it? Anything weird over here?
When not investigating, she is going through some basic motions with a spear from the vending machine. Her form is rusty and hesitant, but not inexperienced - maybe a bit old-fashioned, if you know your lance techniques. The activity at least gets her mind off of whatever it's stuck on for a little while, but does it actually help?
Around lunchtime she is in the movie theater. Again, all her stuffed animal friends, including Emily and Jimmy Bear, have been set up in the seats around her with their own snacks - Emily has sweet kettle corn, Jimmy Bear has beef jerky, it's all very fitting - while Flayn's tuna wrap from the Hyperion Cafe goes half uneaten. She keeps...rewinding part of what she's watching, seemingly enraptured by the scene of a young woman yearning for more beyond what she knows. Flayn was bound to find this movie eventually, it was only a matter of time. But does this help?
She'll be around to see everyone else for other things, of course, but notable is the evening, when she pauses outside of Room 2, a hand on the doorknob, and just. Looks at all the other rooms. Whether you're passing through or going to your own room, you might just be able to hear Flayn's tiny voice.]
...We're going to lose someone tonight.
[There's a waver to it, a fear, something that has settled in layers like sediment on the sea floor until it peeks up over the waves like a sand bank in low tide. Flayn knows she will not kill anyone - knows that if her Professor is brought to a similar boat, she would find a way to save everyone - but that doesn't mean everyone else has that same, unshakeable confidence. That doesn't mean someone she's grown to care quite a bit about won't become a target.
The hand on her doorknob starts to shake.
She's not going to get much sleep tonight.]
Room 2
[Filbo has complete faith on his own 'hostage'. Pretty much for the same reasons Flayn has faith on Byleth, really. Still, he knows his thoughts are a bit of an exception around here -- pretty much everybody is worried about their loved ones. He was on his way to Room 1 when he heard Flayn say that.
It's unavoiable. Someone probably will die]
You'll stay safe, right? Don't leave your room.
no subject
I will not leave my room until morning, and my door will remain locked until then. Can...can I give you a hug before I go inside?
[She just wants to make sure Filbo knows he is loved before anything happens tomorrow, because no matter what tomorrow's going to stink.]
no subject
[Damn right tomorrow is going to be once another terrible day, most likely]
Hold strong no matter what happens. That's what Freyja would want.
[That's the name that comes to mind when he says that, really. It just popped up]
no subject
...I shall do my best. No matter what. But you should as well - that is what Lady Freyja would want, too.
no subject
[She really would. Filbo pats Flayn's back, hoping this really won't be the last time he'll see Flayn]
...I'm already dreading tomorrow. It's been several times and I still don't get used to this. I probably never will.
no subject
[The waiting. The threats. The inevitability, the helplessness. At least on the battlefield Flayn could do something.]
no subject
[Filbo lets go of Flayn. Even though Flayn says she'll stay in her room, what if something happens and she doesn't? It wouldn't be the first time someone dies and there's something he wanted to do with them and now wouldn't have the chance anymore.
...perhaps he should do it now. Death already brings regrets, if he can avoid having one more then perhaps it'd help take it easier]
Since my room is right there do you want to see that photo I mentioned? The one from home! I told you I'd show it to you, right?
no subject
Yes! Yes, I would love to see it.
[How has no one lured her to her death yet]
no subject
I hope it'll be up to expectations!
[Filbo opens the door to his room wide open so Flayn comes in and points at his desk, still with a leg placed over the junk compartment on the floor. There on the desk is a photo of a very colorful bunch of grumpuses]
There we are! That's from when I got elected. I think I don't have to say which one is me!
no subject
GAAAASP
Grumpuses are so colorful! And they are all furry! And they all look very friendly and nice and happy that Filbo's the mayor!]
Are these the friends you made on the island you went to?

investigation!
Jokes aside, where are you planning to start looking? ]
no subject
And we will also take a closer look at the inflatable jousting. What is this all about???]
no subject
Inflatable jousting is... well, it's the standard sort of thing, I wouldn't dare take the option away from you guys to have a Showdown here, but! There is, in fact, something a little off about the device inflating it. ]
no subject
What's up about the device putting air in the thingie? Flayn is likely very intrigued by it to begin with.]
room 2
...I suppose that is the most likely outcome. I am sorry that I have been so unsuccessful in this.
no subject
[She says it freely, honestly. Because it's really not Data's fault.]
I. I simply wish...I could do more.

[All y'all're getting hugs if you're going to do something dangerous because what if this is the last time she can give you a hug]
no subject
You may.
no subject
So what if Data's an android? He's still a friend.]
...Please be safe.
no subject
I will do my best. But if there is a chance that I might be of help this week, I will take it.
no subject
[She gets it. If he sees a murder, he's going to try and stop it.]
We will not let anything happen to Spot or Parker, if the worst should come to pass.
no subject
[or would be if - you know]
I have arrangements made for Spot in the case of my death at home, but it would be alright if you were not able to return her there.
