FIRST TRIAL
Alright, that seems like more than enough time to poke around the crime scene. Gather at the vault door, won’t you? It seems that for many of you it will be a short walk.
[ Once you’re all gathered at the vault door, Angel meets you there and quietly taps a keycard to the side of it. There’s an enormous whirring and grinding from inside as various mechanisms within the door move and whir - until with one last shuddering thud, the door starts to swing inwards, revealing a fully-glass tunnel leading off the side of the plateau the base is built on. Small lights built into the floor illuminate as you walk forward, until finally they light up an enormous elevator, perfectly capable of holding the twenty-four of you.
Angel comes too, putting a few numbers into a keypad just outside the door and inserting her card key once everyone is inside. She’ll gestures to get in if anyone seems unsure, but doesn’t really speak or enter the car herself. ]
Going down.
[ And down the elevator goes, leaving the lights of the facility behind - from here everyone can even see some parts of the facility you don’t have access to, it’s bigger than you realized. But it’s a long and uncomfortable ride to the depths, at least a minute or two before the elevator stops.
When the doors open, enough lights flash on to show that you’ve reached the ocean floor, some distance below even the depths you knew before. Lights around the outside of the massive glass dome you've found yourselves in illuminate the barren depths of the sea, with little if any ocean life to currently disrupt it.
At the top of the dome, among the lights, is an outward-facing circle of five or six different screens, each showing the telltale spiral that indicates The Professor is as present as he ever is.
Below them, of course, are the podiums, a circle of simple metal stands with some kind of video screen embedded into each, though they’re turned off for now. Each of your names is carved into one of them, though the podium constructed for Aela seems to have been just set to display a blank red light.
The screens lower down until they’re too close to eye level for anyone’s comfort. ]
Welcome to the trial room. You have as long as you need to discover who among you killed The Huntress. Once you have, I will explain further action. Take your places.
[ The screens rise back up - welcome to your first trial. ]

EXECUTION - HERO'S DOWNFALL
[ As the Professor says that, all the lights suddenly switch off at once, plunging the dome into pitch darkness. The bottom of the sea, it turns out, lets less natural light in than anyone might think.
Wit, pitch black? Doesn't one of you glow?
The screens turn back on first, the rest of the lights apparently reluctant to join them. But rather than the Professor (thankfully, perhaps) or the smooth jazz channel (definitely thankfully), it shows a weird top-down angle of… some kind of ruined castle? Given that he literally glows, it doesn’t take long to notice that Lif is there, looking around in confusion. But pretty soon, he’s not alone - a young woman marches in from the bottom of the static view, walking up to him before he speaks first.
Sharena!?
She looks at him, expression solemn.
I'm sorry, Alfonse… it's time to put you to rest.
... I understand.
Suddenly the camera angle shifts, so that the two stand on either side of the screen, facing each other. She pulls back her spear, and… hits him once, takes time to return to her position. Hits him twice. He’s unarmed - even if he wanted to respond or tried to run, it’s not exactly feasible.
Death… an ending.
And end he does, falling to the floor of the ruins and bleeding out as the screens fade to black. Lif is dead.
The lights raise behind you, dimly illuminating the trial room just enough for you to get back to the elevator, which now dings open as The Professor's voice rings out one more time. ]
Back up the elevator, now. Enjoy your evening.

Anna watches with a chill. As soon as the lights go on, she turns on her heel to go.]
That's done with.
[A failure is a failure.]

[It felt familiar, watching something like this play out. Perhaps a bit heavier on the dramatics, but...still, familiar.]
Well, at least we've come away from all this with a clearer understanding of the stakes at hand. Shall we go?
[Kirei, as unfazed by the progression of events as he had been all day, turned to leave.]

He didn't know what he expected from this, but it answers a few questions. Invites a few more than it answers, though.
He doesn't seem to know what he should be doing with his face as he watches that. It's...something, he supposes.]

Well, that's that, then. Isn't it?
Not sure how to feel about this metaphorical blood on his hands.
Better to think on it later, probably...]

But it did and they were and there was no fairness in it. But there's never any fairness in death, is there? It just...is.
When it's all over she folds her arms across her chest and lowers her head. She doesn't know if she should throw out a silent prayer to whoever might be listening (too far from the Stone to feel safe, Andraste has always been a toss up no matter what) or just let a moment of silent wash over her before they all head back to the elevator. She opts for the latter, staying still and silent for a minute before adjusting her cloak back over her shoulders proper and walking away.]

Jasper doesn't care, and she doesn't look away. ]
