Week 3
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.
It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.
There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[Though that may be a holdover from how simple and plain their clothes were in Adai... Eh, no sense thinking about that.]
Though with that said, I've... not precisely had the opportunity to experiment much with my attire, so I will leave it to your judgment.
[Forrest knows how to dress and knows how to design so like. He'd know better than Rossiu.]
no subject
[He says, sounding far more thoughtful about those florals than he should...
Speak now or forever hold your peace, man.]
no subject
[He's trying to imagine himself wearing florals. It isn't working. Hopefully Forrest will come up with something else...??]
no subject
He laughs a little at that, good lord.]
Don't worry, I was teasing you. I think it could be cute, given the right colors, but I know "cute" isn't for everyone.
no subject
I'm not sure "cute" would really work all that well on me.
[But it sounds lighter now that he's taking it a little less seriously!!]
no subject
[He's got tape, he's got a notepad, he's got the pencil from earlier. Let's start with measurements.]
Stand up straight for me, shoulders back a bit - anyway, I think that there are very few styles that can't be worn by people. I know that some people think they wouldn't look right in some things, but as long as the color doesn't clash with your hair or your skin and you have confidence in wearing it, you would be surprised what can work.
no subject
That's a very good point. Confidence can make almost anything work, really.
[Considers Simon's current outfit....... Yeah, it's only the confidence that's pulling that one off. Please put on a shirt, Simon.]
no subject
[He is absolutely proof of that, as far as he's concerned.]
You prefer things that are more militaristic, though, is that it?
no subject
[So maybe it's more a matter of familiarity than anything else.]

[Pretend I know how to describe clothes and have this as a reference.]
no subject
I see...
[Hm.]
What was it like in the village you came from...? Again, assuming you don't mind answering... I know it's a hard subject for a lot of people.
no subject
It was... certainly not an easy life. I was more or less taken in by Father Magin - the leader of our village - after my mother died when I was a child, so I did not have it nearly as bad as some did. Though we didn't have much in the way of resources, Father Magin did manage to keep us alive.
[Though the exact way is still a complicated and very difficult subject.]
We were a close community despite the hardships - or perhaps because of it. But I chose to leave when the opportunity arose, and I have no regrets about it.
no subject
[God knows he left the Deeprealm every chance he got. Never for long, granted, but still...]
It's good that you had someone to look after you, however. Even if the situation was far from ideal. My parents, my family in general... They weren't deceased, but I didn't really get to see them growing up.
no subject
[Even worse than knowing your parents are dead, possibly. But he shakes his head once that's out there.]
Being able to see more of the world is always a good thing, I think. I learned so much after leaving Adai; it was good for me.
no subject
[...]
I'm glad you were able to experience that.
no subject
[Though it sounds like Forrest's situation may not be quite as good as his was... But maybe it's best to move on.]
Have any of the others taken you up on the offer for your designs?
no subject
[How many have, I don't know because time has no meaning in one's top-levels and also because there are nine damn people in here.]
Honestly, I'm glad; it gives me something to do with myself as an activity. It isn't that I don't like talking to all of you, because I certainly do, but I like having something to do with my hands.
no subject
[Which is important after. Y'know. Everything that just happened. Gotta have some fun here somehow!]
no subject
no subject
[He doesn't want to speculate on what they would have wanted, but that much certainly feels accurate. It would be a waste of time, as far as Adaman's concerned, right?]
I think it is important that we try to keep our spirits up; finding things we can enjoy in this place is important.
