Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

[Huh! Weird! That has to be intentional, right?? Well, starting from the top point of the pentagon, is there anything of note about any of these five tables and their five chairs? He will absolutely check every one. Anything carved on or under them? Anything weird or different between them?]

[ They are functionally identical, actually! Not exact copies or anything, but the same table and chairs cleaned to the same level. There's evidence of the usual like. Scratchings that a table like these might have? But they've been sanded off.

Most of them, anyway. There's one left, kind of tucked away.

FRANK FONTAINE WON'T SAVE YOU ]

[Hmm. Ominous! But also not surprising, given what he did just last week. Where is this etching located, on the top of the table? Underneath? I'm going to guess it doesn't matter which specific table it's on, right?]

[Frank Fontaine. What a name. Good to know though! While we're on the subject of this lettering, is there anything noteworthy about it? Is it carved in some sort of recognizable handwriting? Or is it just "someone was real pissed at Frank Fontaine" which like. Fair??]

[ This is your first time seeing this handwriting! It may not be your last, but it's also worth noting that this scratching isn't particularly fresh. ]

[Good to know! So it would seem that it was left from someone who was here before us...

Anything else to note about any of the tables or chairs? Otherwise is there anything of interest that stands out to investigate here?]

[ That seems to be the main Thing Of Note here! Though, with enough time spent looking around here, there seems to be something in the bushes, maybe? ]

[Listen, Rossiu has nothing better to do than to aggressively investigate the patio, he's gonna be here long enough to figure out something is amiss with those bushes!! So what's going on here? Do these bushes all look uniform except for whatever's up with this one?]

[ The bushes are sort of the same as the tables - all treated in the same way, but they're not copies of each other or anything.

Looks like there's an audio tape by this one, which is the last thing here in the patio! ]

[Hmm!! Well, that looks like it may be important! Anything to note on or about this one as he's returning to his room to play it? Does it have a label or anything? Does it look about the same as the others?

And then of course once he's back in his room he'll play that, so what do we have on this one?]

[ It seems to be a recording of Mayor Fontaine, actually! Or like. A recording of an announcement by him, maybe? ]

New Rapture! Citizens, another year will soon be upon us. Finally, we will officially have lasted longer than the last attempt at one 'a these underwater utopias I roped myself into. You know me. I gathered the best of the best, for real this time. New Rapture. Freedom, so long as it pays. And oh, as long as you all follow me, New Rapture? It'll pay.

First, I found the Founders. They helped me open the supply lanes to whole other universes. Who else can do that? Then all of you flowed in, like fish. You know this already. So this New Years, let's all... renew our vows, huh? Make sure you find a way to catch the broadcast. I promise it's worth your while.

[Well! That's definitely not good, um!! This doesn't exactly sound like the start to a murdergame... so what the hell happened here? Presumably this was before the city's current state...

Speculating on it won't do him any good, so is there anything else?]
