Week 5

Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Another week, another motive, another trial. Even without a literal time loop, it's easy to start to feel stuck in something of a rut. Though vandalism parties and the like can help shake the feeling somewhat, it's only natural to start going a little... stir-crazy, don't you think?

Fortunately for you, another week brings another new section of New Rapture to investigate. This one is the biggest yet! And look at that fun theme park. And a bar!

Seven of you are dead, but eighteen of you remain. What you do to try to escape is up to you, but at least following :)'s advice gets you coins for stuff, you know?

[If she points this out Jonathan will say that he wanted to make sure the alcohol was suitable but truthfully he was just excited.

Jonathan sits himself down at the bar and he absolutely Beams at Zinda as he continues to drink from his glass.]

The selection is quite impressive! I have not even heard of half these drinks before in my life.

Well, now we've got somethin' to do, Champ. You can try em out! [...Girl may have an extremely high tolerance.]

[He beams.]

That sounds like a wonderful idea! Could you surprise me with a drink?I"m afraid I would be stuck in indecision if I picked myself.

[specialyellthing]

I’ll do ya one better, and mix ya up something nice. Take a seat.

[and she sets about making a drink for him with—- whew. that sure is something.]

I gotta say, it’s good to see ya in high spirits.

[Jonathan sits himself down, grinning sheepishly.]

I suppose it's nice to get anything to drink here. Even at Castle Dracula, I had a steady supply of good wine, although I couldn't indulge too much because I feared the Count taking advantage of my inebriated state. Besides the flask I found the first week here, I haven't had anything to drink!

[He pauses as he takes a sip of his wine.]

And I must say, I loathe Fontaine still, but I am quite happy with our selection of musical instruments as well! And I am quite excited to finally see one of these "movies". I was thinking of trying to get one playing after this.

Yeah. I suppose if nothin’ else, he’s provided us with an interesting prison. Don’t know why we didn’t just start with all of this, but… I guess that’s the point of it bein a reward.

[She looks morose for a few moments—- then smiles and pushes a Grasshopper across the bar to him.]

Here ya go, Champ. I hope you enjoy it, and the movies too.

[He takes a sip and he is absolutely surprised by the flavor, but his face just as quickly lights up.]

This is amazing, Zinda! This tastes just like I'm drinking a dessert!

[He takes another sip, savoring it.]

Perhaps you could join me in watching a movie! I admit I never seen one in my life and I am somewhat intimidated by the reels.

Hah! I knew you’d like that one. Struck me as somebody who likes their sweets.

[She pours herself another drink, then nods, moving from behind the bar so they can head to the theater.]

Sure thing. You’re lucky, seemed like they’ve got equipment I’m pretty familiar with.

Wonder if they’ve got my movie in there.

[Jonathan looks at Zinda as he follows by her, in awe.]

Zinda, you have a movie? You must tell me about it!

Sure I do! I thought everyone here knew—- it’s in my profile!

Wasn’ really much of a movie. The director made me the star, but kept callin’ in the rest of the Blackhawks and usin em in the movie! The boys kept complainin, acting like it was all my scheme, stealin their work and bein the star of it all——

Guess that turned out to be right, in the end. I’m the last one. And the rest of em… They don’t get the praise they shoulda.
