Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Another week, another motive, another trial. Even without a literal time loop, it's easy to start to feel stuck in something of a rut. Though vandalism parties and the like can help shake the feeling somewhat, it's only natural to start going a little... stir-crazy, don't you think?

Fortunately for you, another week brings another new section of New Rapture to investigate. This one is the biggest yet! And look at that fun theme park. And a bar!

Seven of you are dead, but eighteen of you remain. What you do to try to escape is up to you, but at least following :)'s advice gets you coins for stuff, you know?

[ It's the film reels that catch his eye when he enters the room... ]

Horsefeathers... Are those...?

[ He picks up one of the reels and looks it over, pulling out a length of film and holding it up close... Clearly not the same as a cinematic record, but it's just similar enough to someone who hasn't been able to even look at one in over a month. ]

[ They're definitely cinematic, but... they're movies, not Records. ]

Fascinating... So humans have managed something similar in this world...

[ The first motion picture wouldn't be produced until 1906. That's a good 17 years from when the Undertaker was plucked from, and it would be even longer still before the advent of sound and color in film. These strips aren't the same, certainly not. But what sort of movie selection do we have here? ]

[ Pretty much anything from the silent era, and some from the general B&W period! Up to player discretion which. ]

... Huh. There's an outfit he didn't think he'd see in another person's film. He puts on some Charlie Chaplin as he continues to explore the room... The projector should provide some light, at least.

[ Most of the other evidence here good ol' Jonny has, but... in with the film reels, there's an audio log! ]

[ Might be important. Let's pick this up and play it. ]

[ There's a voice that's... clearly male, and uh. Pompous? ]

My dearest Kronya! Partner in all things except romance, we are moving forward with the next phase of our cultural conquest of this city! We are going to create... cinema!

Just think of it: a new year, a new image! I, the dashing Count Olaf, and you, the greatest actress of this or any generation - it's no live theater, of course, but then what is? This will just be... non-live theater! Dead theater! Wait, no, scratch that-

Alright, so I've located all of these reels to catch you up, since you've little in the way of a formal dramatic education. I trust you of course know how to operate a thirty-five millimeter projection camera, so... chop chop! I'm going to go and mingle with some guests! I even managed to talk Wesker into visiting for the premiere tonight, did you know that? Amazing what a little back and forth about the nature of death will get you. Farewell!
