Week 5
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
Another week, another motive, another trial. Even without a literal time loop, it's easy to start to feel stuck in something of a rut. Though vandalism parties and the like can help shake the feeling somewhat, it's only natural to start going a little... stir-crazy, don't you think?
Fortunately for you, another week brings another new section of New Rapture to investigate. This one is the biggest yet! And look at that fun theme park. And a bar!
Seven of you are dead, but eighteen of you remain. What you do to try to escape is up to you, but at least following :)'s advice gets you coins for stuff, you know?

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to the fifth week of Unknown Seas Round 3! Please make sure to mark any investigation toplevels accordingly, post your ac, and you can reach either Mayor Fontaine or Eleanor for conversations! ]

I assume part of the fun is in the speed it can get up to? I know Aiba has said that there's some fun to be had in things going very fast, and people drive or ride things that go extremely quickly for fun...
[Mm.]
I suppose in a world where there aren't wyverns, it could probably feel similar to flying.
no subject
[Granted, that doesn't necessarily put him in the mood to ride this specific one.]
People ride things like this, or you can buy a car that goes really fast. That's a little more dangerous, though - since you're on the road with other people.

Aiba tried to teach me a little about cars.
no subject
Yeah, like in the movies! I guess you'd have to be a good driver - my car's pretty old anyway.

[He's still not used to electricity as a concept, but he's trying!]
We don't have such things where I'm from. I usually have my horse, but my aunt Camilla has taken me flying with her a few times.

[He's just drawing connections here, but like. Neat???]

Yes! Wyverns are a little scary, but my aunt has trained hers really well - I'm always a little afraid they're going to bite, but hers didn't snap at me or anything.
no subject
[Not really a thing he does on the regular, even!]
How big are wyverns?
no subject
The same sort of capacity as horses, in terms of actual number of people, but they're much stronger physically. They're far smaller than most proper dragons; some of the younger dragons are small, but most of the ancient ones are very, very large.

[He only knows, like. Corrin. Who is tiny by dragon standards.]
no subject
[But then, Forrest's related to some dragons, right? Maybe he ought not to compare them to crocodiles.]
Like I said, I've never ridden any animals besides a horse, and that was just one time when I was younger. Most people don't, these days. You're more likely to use a car or a bike.

[Like, of course there's pegasi!]
I've been seeing a lot more nature since I started working on the cabin. It's right up against the woods. Howl used to hunt, so I think that's why the deer don't come around as much, but I've seen things like rabbits and foxes back there. I didn't realize foxes sounded like human screams before I started staying overnight.
no subject
[God, that's horrifying.]
I've never heard them, but that might just be due to where we're staying... I can imagine that'd be unsettling, however.

[Brett laughs a little.]
Peregrine laughed at me when I asked her about it. I'm city folk, as far as everyone in Whitetail is concerned. They've all always been very welcoming, though.
