Week 5

Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Another week, another motive, another trial. Even without a literal time loop, it's easy to start to feel stuck in something of a rut. Though vandalism parties and the like can help shake the feeling somewhat, it's only natural to start going a little... stir-crazy, don't you think?

Fortunately for you, another week brings another new section of New Rapture to investigate. This one is the biggest yet! And look at that fun theme park. And a bar!

Seven of you are dead, but eighteen of you remain. What you do to try to escape is up to you, but at least following :)'s advice gets you coins for stuff, you know?

[ She doesn't. Sound still doesn't wake her. As you get closer, you can tell her skin is pale and clammy, and her lips... They're blue-ish purple in color. ]

[ She'll have to move Mafuyu for that, won't she? Not easy to do in this position. It's as she does that Zinda will discover, Mafuyu's very limp. It's almost as if... ]

[...well, let's not dwell on what ifs too much. As Zinda starts her CPR, the lifeless looking girl finally stirs, coughing. She's not looking so hot and her eyes are only barely open, staring blankly ahead. But, the most important thing:

Mafuyu is still alive.]

Holy fuckin shit, Sparkles! [Stirring is good, coughing is better. Zinda stops compressions pretty much immediately, instead gathering the girl into her arms.]

H-Huh...?

[She blinks, looking up at Zinda. She looks... pretty confused, honestly.]

Zinda...?

[No "Blake-san" today, huh?]

Y-yeah! It's me!

[The tears are probably a little confusing, since Zinda's not typically a public crier-- but her arms are kindof busy cradling Mafuyu.]

It's okay, girlie, I gotcha.

You're crying...

[Oh. It feels a little weird, being held like this. This is... kinda like how moms do it, right?]

Well, yeah. We found you collapsed.

[ He brings the water over. ]

Oh. So I broke a rule then... right?

[girl your priorities]

...Does that mean I'm a rebel now?

[it doesn't even count like this!]

[That... makes Zinda laugh, though it's a half hearted one.]

Yeah. Might have to start callin' you Miss Blackhawk, you lil rebel.

Scared the hell outta us! [She doesn't let go, not yet.]

[ He puts the cup up to her cheek. Floyd, please. ]

[well now she's really laughing, probably giving mafuyu lil shakes from it.]

[Looks like she's less polite after, y'know, almost dying. But she'll take the cup and have some water.]

[ That finally pulls a smile from Floyd. He just snickers. ]

Still got you to drink it, so that's my win~.

Yeah. The jukebox was blaring one of your songs and we found you collapsed out on the stage.

Mm. Listening to it and singing along... makes me feel more at ease.

[So much for that!]

I wasn't feeling well.

Jeeze, Moon Jelly. Don't scare us like that!

[ Floyd let Zinda have all the space she and Mafuyu needed, and is back at the bar pouring a cup of water for Mafuyu. He doesn't know what to do in these situations, but water! helps! ]

Ah... Did I...?

[She lifts her head up, slow. It makes her feel a little sick, but, well. Water probably WILL help with that.]

Sorry...

[ While Zinda's doing CPR, is there anything around that might tip Floyd off to whatever Mafuyu might have ingested, if anything? Because blue lips sure is a big concern! ]

[ Nothing. It's just Mafuyu here, looking as if she laid down to sleep. ]
