Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Another week, another motive, another trial. Even without a literal time loop, it's easy to start to feel stuck in something of a rut. Though vandalism parties and the like can help shake the feeling somewhat, it's only natural to start going a little... stir-crazy, don't you think?

Fortunately for you, another week brings another new section of New Rapture to investigate. This one is the biggest yet! And look at that fun theme park. And a bar!

Seven of you are dead, but eighteen of you remain. What you do to try to escape is up to you, but at least following :)'s advice gets you coins for stuff, you know?

[ It's hardly proper for her to be making such a scene and she knows the others would have a field day if they came across a scene like this, but Mielle can't quite manage to compose herself as quick as she usually does. The gentle weight of Mafuyu's hand on the back of her head is calming but she's still reeling – Mafuyu might be alright now but if things had gone even a little bit worse, then...

No, it doesn't bear thinking about.

Eventually, she manages to get enough of a grip on herself to start dabbing at her face with her handkerchief, trying to clean herself up just a little. ]

I'm sorry to be in such a state... but the idea of something happening to you is just...

[ She shakes her head. If she goes too far down that path, she'll just upset herself again. ]

What happened? I only heard bits and pieces... and that you were found in the nightclub...?

...Mm. Zinda and Floyd found me.

[She lets out a breath, slow. Trying to keep herself together and calm, for Mielle's sake. The fact that it's hard on her... that isn't so strange, but she'd underestimated how bad...

...It's a good thing things worked out the way they did.]

They think maybe it was the poisoner. The one we never found.

. . . hah?

[ For a moment, it feels like Mielle's ears are ringing. That was the very last thing she'd expected to hear. A wild, irrational panic twists her stomach with the thought of – did she do this, somehow? Could she have been responsible for this? Even though Mafuyu was the one person here she'd never have reason to harm, could this have happened through some wild coincidence, could Aria have–

She takes a slow breath. Tries to slow her whirling thoughts.

Mielle never would have done this.

So it means that someone else here did.

She closes her eyes for a moment. Tries to compose herself, even though she knows there's no use in trying to thaw the chill of anger that's started to freeze over her stomach. ]

[ When she opens her eyes again, they're like ice. ]

Mafuyu... whoever did this to you... I won't forgive them. I won't let them go free. When you're well enough... we'll find whoever did this to you and I'll make sure they pay.
