Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.

The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.

Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.

Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

No more so than those movies. And it does seem convenient. You even get another thing free if you're fast enough...

[ Man. Explaining infomercials to someone who's never experienced them before is sure a thing. ]

You can usually find the same thing in another store for a lower price... and the products,, most of the time, aren't very good.

Ah. Merchant tricks.

[Nods. He Knows merchants.]

Talking up their wares without letting you see what they're really worth. I've come across the type.

It's sort of a smart move, if you don't know what you're getting yourself into.

Of course. Can't make it as a merchant unless you're clever. They're not all that different from my kind, really.

Hmm... that does make sense. I imagine you've had to come up with some... creative tactics?

[ Gestures to the screen! ]

And this requires a lot of creativity to make "chopping vegetables" engaging.

[Wait.

Something's been staring at him. He stops and stares at it, frowning.]

["That" is Daisy.]

[ And Daisy looks absolutely delighted. She starts doing a lil doggo dance in place, and Mira? Just tries to cover her sound of amusement with a cough. ]

She is a dog.

That's not a dog. We have dogs in Orsterra. This... what's it doing.

[Therion backs up a step.]

It's probably just a difference in our worlds.

[ Mira kneels down and puts a hand on Daisy's back, and she finds her chill and stills. But she's still gazing expectantly at Therion. ]

She's just excited about the attention. She won't attack or anything.

[bolderfell]

[At least he stops backing up. For now.]

Well.... she's my companion. A friend.

Like... Nira's Pokémon.

Yes, exactly. Usually, her breed are working dogs, for farms and such... but since we didn't live on a farm, she's just a housedog.

[bolderfell]

Because... she's cute.

[ She lifts Daisy into her arms. ]

Why would anyone set their dog on someone? To protect yourself or your belongings. For fun! I don't know.

I don't particularly want to set her on anyone for any of those reasons. Or-- any reason at all, actually. Especially if I don't have a problem with someone.
