WEEK 3

Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.

The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.

Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.

Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

[ Luckily, Rin keeps it on her at all times! It's a lot like the terminal she used in the Moon Cell, so doing so feels like second nature. She pulls it out, and...

...There's nothing. She remembers going to sleep, and...? ]

Nothing. [ The answer sounds a lot calmer than she feels. ] But it... doesn't feel like I slept for that long, somehow.

Yeah, exactly, I was wondering if I just...overslept somehow? But I think I'd be feeling like hell if that were the case.

It's possible that we all did it, but I don't like that possibility, either.

[Because that implies something was piped in to put us all under. And he does not like that.]

Right. And I can't speak for you, but it's not like I was so exhausted that I could sleep for a whole 36 hours straight.

[ Yeah, no. The more she thinks about it, the more her tension rises, until it's visible in the set of her jaw. ]

I mean... Think about it. A missing day is one thing, but a missing day that just so happens to correspond to a whole new wing of this place being opened up?

I'm doing another meeting on Tuesday. This seems like something worth discussing, as does the trial and anything else that might happen to be found between now and then.
