WEEK 3
Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.
The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.
Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.
Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Week 3! Turn in last week's AC over here, and regains remain over this way! And for the sake of consistency, Angel's office hours remain over yonder! ]

Tuesday again sounds like a decent time to try for, at least.

I'll report with what I find out from Angel at that time, then. I plan on looking around a little more, too...

[ Though. That makes her think of something, and she's about to voice her thought before she reconsiders. She pulls out her phone--her own personal one, not the one they've all been given.
She types something quickly, and then shows him-- ]
Maybe we'll find something even the Professor isn't aware of, but which was put here by someone who works for him.

Yeah, maybe. I wouldn't get your hopes up, though. The most interesting things we've gotten here are probably the stuff that's fallen out of the machine.
I actually got something pretty messed up the other day, I don't even know who it belongs to. I don't think it's yours - I'm kind of hoping it's not, it's legitimately disgusting - but if you want to take a look at some of it you can.
[He picks up the journal next to him, the battered one that looks super-old; he'll flip it to a certain page in there before passing it to her.
The handwriting in there is his own, but it's both small enough and messy enough that maybe any cameras in the place might have a hard time zeroing in on it.
Angel doesn't know who the subjects in the memo I found are.
Memo was definitely from the doctor who made the Professor's machines.
Apparently the doctor in question is a woman.
Professor does not know who did the writing under the tiles. Neither does Angel.]
Seriously. Who the hell does that.

[ Like the slug buddy. Either way, she nods and takes the journal, reading it over. She definitely doesn't flip through the book, but she reads what Birkin's written, and...
Huh. Her eyes widen a little, before her expression shifts into something puzzled. It's convincing enough that Mira hopes it'll be in line with what Birkin's claimed is in there. She reads it over several times, really committing it to memory before passing it back. ]
... You're right. [ She wrinkles her nose. ] I really wish I hadn't read that. And you received that from the vending machine?
no subject
[He'll snap it closed and put it aside again.]
Yeah, it fell out of the machine a few days ago. I'm just going to hold onto it until we can figure out who that belongs to - not like I expect anyone to claim it. Hell, it could have been Aela's for all I know, even if I really want to believe it's not.

[ She shakes her head. ]
If someone's really missing it, we'll know before long, I'm sure. A diary seems like the type of thing you don't want to lose, even if it's... disturbing.
no subject
[...He is never going to tell Mira what is actually in this, good lord.]
Anyway. Definitely keep looking around, and we'll see what we've got on Tuesday. This past Friday was...bad, but we really can't afford to give up or get too distracted right now.
no subject
... Right. [ She nods, and it's hard to tamp down the flicker of discomfort at the mention of Friday. ] I'll do my best. We won't figure anything out if we aren't actively making an effort.
[ ... her gaze sure slides to the letters, and she's curious, but-- maybe it's just something from the machine? Mysterious. ]
no subject
...Go check Lif and Aela's rooms, whenever you get the chance. They left things for you.
no subject
That sure has her feeling some kinda way. ]
... Their rooms are open, then?

... Thank you.
