WEEK 3

Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.

The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.

Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.

Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to Week 3! Turn in last week's AC over here, and regains remain over this way! And for the sake of consistency, Angel's office hours remain over yonder! ]

Sorry! [damn her cold hands!!]

Yes, it was. [Alice's hand returns to her side, and she glances nervously back at the tube. Her eyes are a little duller gold than they were at the afterparty, though whether or not that has anything to do with having just witnessed a murder is debatable.] A lot. It makes me worry that...that something like this could happen at any time.
bogwife: Oh, Death (The earth and worms both have a claim)

Oh no, no, it's fine, Alice. [She looks down at Alice, blinking a few times while she lets the ringing in her ears quiet.] I-I understand her defending herself. Who wouldn't? But then she just- and then he was just swept away into the water- [She swallows hard, hands staring to tremble all over again.]

[Oh, no. Alice frowns, and without thinking holds out her hand to offer it to Zerinda.]

Here, come with me. Let's go somewhere else and talk, okay?

[Zerinda takes her hand with only momentary hesitation then gives a small nod.]

Alright.

[Alice gives her hand a squeeze, and then pulls her down the hallway and toward the art gallery. It's silent and empty in here. Perfect. Alice drops Zerinda's hand and smiles.]

It's not exactly fresh air, but I thought a change of scenery might do you some good.
bogwife: Death, I come to take the soul (This very hour come and go with me)

[Alice is right, it does help. Zerinda takes a deep breath then another. The leftover ringing in her ears finally subsides and she smiles, just a little.]

Thank you, Alice. [She clenches and unclenches her hands a few times to get her blood flowing again and calm the trembling before bringing them to her face to wipe the wetness from her eyes with her palms.] Sorry about that, I swear I don't have crises like that often.

[Alice watches carefully, making sure Zerinda is going to be okay, and shakes her head.]

No need to apologize. With everything going on...it's a wonder we're not all talking each other down left and right.
