WEEK 3

Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.

The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.

Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.

Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to Week 3! Turn in last week's AC over here, and regains remain over this way! And for the sake of consistency, Angel's office hours remain over yonder! ]

Yeah, that's entirely fair. And for what it's worth, I'm probably here for the same reason you are, so it's not as though I'm going to judge you.

What, building furniture?
fivestagegod: (03. you say you're okay)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-22 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
More like "today is purest crap already, and some productivity is better than nothing." But sure, if I somehow get a table out of this I'm not going to complain.
emberserker: Stern look. (this is why you're wrong)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose so. At the least, we've gotten some insight, even if someone's dropped off for it.

[sorry about your bf, brian.]

It kind of makes me wonder if that's how they disposed of all of the bodies.

[Which...makes sense but he doesn't particularly care for it.]

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm surprised if that's the case. You'd suppose someone would find them eventually and start looking around. The Professor's the confident type, but he wants to keep this going. Cyclically, if yesterday's meeting is any indication.
fivestagegod: (03. you say you're okay)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-22 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
We also don't know what the world's like out there. Trust me, some places just don't care what's done as long as it's largely out of sight of the public.
emberserker: Serious dismissal. (x number of bad ideas later)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's true enough. All we've got are fish, fish, and more fish. It's annoying just seeing them at this point.
fivestagegod: (10. do you need love)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-22 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't it just. I guess that's better than the implications of there not being any out there, but at this point we're going to start yelling at them just to have new things to talk to.
emberserker: Yelling and pointing out her magic stone. (matches my eyes and everything)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose it's better than a corpse floating past -- ugh, what do you mean there aren't any more screws that size? They should all match on the same shelf, shouldn't they?

...There is a very good reason I haven't tried to put that together. I have three of them, but I know my limits.
emberserker: Manic smile. (can you not)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-22 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Three? How many does he have? Or how many is the machine programmed to steal, I suppose, if it really is just transporting things from other worlds instead of storing them.

I'm going to guess the answer is something like "however many it wants." Either way, they're annoying. Maybe I'll try to figure something out eventually, when it comes to what to do with them.
emberserker: Eyes closed, preparing to fight. (just a moment)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-23 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Anna gets up and starts rummaging through the screw drawers until she pulls out a few around the same size.]

These will have to do. I'm not taking that thing apart again. What, are you thinking of putting all the parts together?
fivestagegod: (Default)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-23 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Why not. See what I can get out of it.

[He shrugs.]

I'm not really the sort that's great at doing stuff with my hands, though. Research and virus manipulation is one thing. Arts and crafts is something else entirely. So who knows, really.
emberserker: Arms crossed, standing by a pillar. (quick comment)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-23 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Arts and crafts seems to be the theme of the entire wing, really. I have to wonder why he found it that amusing, because it's certainly got nothing to do with research.
fivestagegod: (03. you say you're okay)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-23 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm kind of hoping this isn't why, but Lif would've liked it. He drew really well, at least.
emberserker: Moody and sad. (sighhhhhhhh)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-23 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose. So this could just be some kind of memorial for failure?
fivestagegod: (Default)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-23 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Or something designed to piss us off with how rude it is.
emberserker: Manic smile. (can you not)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-23 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
That's certainly something he excels at. His favourite hobby, I'd say.
fivestagegod: (10. do you need love)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-23 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure he'd consider himself scientifically engineered to be as obnoxious as humanly possible.
emberserker: Posing, about to use her scythe or axe. (i'm the coolest)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-23 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
He does like to show off all the things he's best at, that among them.
fivestagegod: (10. do you need love)

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-23 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
He leans into the whole thing kind of hard, doesn't he? Calling us lab rats and everything. I'd be offended if it weren't so laughable - how damn insecure do you have to be to assert yourself like that, even with the technological upper hand?
emberserker: Stern look. (this is why you're wrong)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-04-23 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'll bet. "I'll say it as many times as it takes. You cannot defeat me."

[Aside from the German accent she already has anyway, her impression of the Professor needs work. It's not nearly theatrical enough.]

All that rubbish gets old quickly, and he just keeps on doing it.

[personal profile] fivestagegod 2020-04-23 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Mad scientists are all kind of like that. Hell, the scientists I've worked with weren't half that insane and they were still kind of like that, so I'm not too surprised that this one is so full-on.
