WEEK 3

Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.

The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.

Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.

Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

Unfortunately. Why anyone wants that -- or half of the other clothes in there -- is beyond me.

The only good clothing item I've gotten was my scarf, honestly.

[She tugs proudly at the orange patterned silk around her neck.]

And thank goodness, this was expensive.

I wonder if they've got anything good of mine in there. Oh, probably. I did get the axe.

[precognit]

The axe?

[huh.]

You didn't strike me as a weapons kinda girl. Guess you're full of surprises.

Well, it isn't as if I use it day-to-day. It's mostly for training. When I do fight, it's in my ARMANOX, but that's got an axe as well. Plus one's got to get firewood somehow, even if that usually falls to the help.

[precognit]

Oh, I see!

[Alice is laughing under her breath, but it's not mean-spirited? She's mostly amused by how Anna talks, as if any of that is common knowledge to Alice.]

Well, maybe you can use it to hack our way out of here somehow.

I tried with the door to the janitor's closet. Apparently, that's reinforced.

[Alice laughs aloud.] Oh, well. At least now we know?

Unfortunately. He seemed to think it was hilarious.

I'm sure he did. He must get a massive kick out of watching people struggle fruitlessly.

He certainly seems like it. Scientific research indeed.
