WEEK 3
Well, the tail end of Week 2 could have gone better. That's the first thing to note.
The second thing is... hang on, should it be Week 3 yet? You've all gone to sleep (or... not, in the case of anyone who doesn't), but when you wake up (and you do all wake up), the calendar and clock on your device informs you that it's Sunday. In-character, all characters explicitly have absolutely no memory of Saturday.
Your sense of time isn't the only thing that's changed - a new branch of the facility has opened and become active overnight, giving you new resources and places to investigate, should you so choose. There's also a new channel on the television, though whether it's an improvement over the last one is questionable.
Otherwise, though, things have mostly settled into normalcy again, or at close to normal as you can find in this place. How long that peace will last, though... that's becoming increasingly uncertain, moving forward.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Week 3! Turn in last week's AC over here, and regains remain over this way! And for the sake of consistency, Angel's office hours remain over yonder! ]

She moves, after that little push. ]
... Thank you.
[ It's quiet enough for him to hear, but only just. ]

[And that's all he'll say on their way to the lounge. He waits for her to sit, then goes back to his room, drops off his goods, and returns with. The water bottle from before, and part of a gingerbread house? All the candy's been picked off it. Or licked off it.
He breaks the gingerbread into dog-friendly pieces and drops them for Daisy. The water is for Mira.]
Here.

Mira takes the water and holds it in her hands, fiddling with the cap. ]
... I appreciate it. Though... this definitely isn't how you expected to spend your early morning, right?
[ That sure is a poor attempt at trying to lighten the mood. ]
no subject
Don't know why I didn't. Someone always seems to be wandering around at night.
no subject
[ Especially considering, you know, what happened last week. ]
no subject
[Still no snide comment about it out of him.]
Doubt most are sleeping well after this past morning.
[Damien LaVey is just gone.]
no subject
She doesn't miss that. She does nod, though. ]
... It's one thing to have it happen at the-- [ She can't even call it a trial. What a joke. ] After what happened Friday. Another to have it happen so-- unexpectedly. And to call us out to see it...

[Angel...
Therion shakes his head.]
He's right. We are complacent. I'm a fool for not realizing what he meant sooner. But it shouldn't have come as a surprise that some of you wouldn't be thinking clearly after that.
no subject
... I can't exactly argue with that. But as far as I can tell, we're the only ones that've dared to be out this late.
no subject
[He looks away--further away, actually, since he already wasn't looking at her--and pulls his scarf up.]
Figured this was my best window to avoid the rest of you. More fool me.
no subject
She's definitely making a note of that. ]
Well... with this group, I wouldn't count too much on being able to avoid people.
no subject
[Here he is with her, isn't he?]
What about you. Are you one of those who never sleeps, like Jasper?
no subject
She takes a drink of her water before nodding slowly. ]
... I don't really sleep too well, anyway. Being here only makes it worse.

[ insomnia, man. ]
no subject
[Jesus Jewish Christ, Therion.]
no subject
She inhales sharply, hand tightening on the bottle. ]
He-- died because of me.
[ So not too far off, as far as she's concerned. ]
no subject
Did you kill him?
no subject
... I did.
no subject
He looks at her, then, fingers sunken deeply into his scarf.]
...Why?
no subject
[ She pauses. ]
I might as well have. I came home, Noah was dead, and the person I decided to trust because he told me I was important was there, holding a bloody knife.
no subject
[He actually seems a little worked up over this.]

[He's up and on his feet, forward three steps in a breath. He stops there, aware that he's leaving her behind, before he half-turns without truly facing her.]
Maybe you were stupid. Maybe you shouldn't believe in a kind word or a smile. But true betrayal doesn't happen by mistake.
[He stalks again towards Room 24.]
