WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

[What a day.

Anna's in the sewing room in the morning, where you can find her laying out fabric, cutting squares, or... taking a seam ripper and dissecting one of those Bootleg Monobears from the vending machine. Sure? What.

Her art project doesn't take all day, though; in the afternoon, she'll be in the water park, but certainly not to have fun. Instead, she's in one of those wetsuits from the machine, rather than the provided swimsuit, and she's... trying to climb up one of the slides itself rather than go up the stairs. Is that even possible? We'll find out.

Either way, after that, Anna's off to the vending machine. She puts in a few coins, gets a pile of pretty normal stuff... but then the toy laser sword comes out. She's already gotten blue and red, what's this one...

As soon as she activates the plastic blade, a bright green, Anna's grip tightens on the handle for a second. She flings the toy out of the room, straight across the hallway. You'll find her screaming incoherently and stabbing it with a spear, because that's normal.]

[ Holy shit.

What in the name of Gaia was he witnessing here? ]

...What do you think you're doing?

[emberserker]

The Professor [stab] is mocking me [stab] and I wish [stab] he would just die already!

[One more stab, and a chunk of plastic goes flying down the hall.]

[valentinus]

[ ...Wow. ]

The Professor seems to be always mocking us, though. What's made it worth wasting your energy on...this?

[emberserker]

Because of her!

[Anna stabs the now thoroughly broken plastic lightsaber again and seethes, both hands gripping the spear.]

You wouldn't understand. I doubt you have someone you hate that much.

[valentinus]

[ His red eyes lay on the plastic lightsaber's remains, as he processed her words. In a way they were not exactly wrong, but they weren't exactly right either. ]

The person I would loathe so much would no longer be among the living, since we're not counting the Professor.

[ ... ]

Who would be 'her'?

The stairs are on the other side, Fugo.

[ Rin assumes Anna knows this, but she's also at a loss for what she could be trying to accomplish, and so that's what she says. ]

It's called investigating --

[Anna slips as she says this and goes careening down the slide into the pool. She drags herself to the edge of the water, grumbling, her hair out of its regular curls.]

If you just go down the slide normally, you'll be down it in a flash without seeing whatever there might be to see along the way. Unfortunately, all there is is water.

[mouflon]

I really doubt you're going to see something halfway down the slide that you couldn't from the top of one... [ Rin clucks her tongue. ] Besides, you can investigate without being careless. Doing what you're doing is just asking for an accident to happen.

[emberserker]

Oh, don't talk to me like that. I'm doing fine. Have you found anything yet?

[mouflon]

If that's what you call doing fine, Fugo.

[ But, she shakes her head. ]

Not yet. The arcade looks like it might be a good place to start, though. With so many different pieces, there has to be something hidden in there, right?

[ Della is on her way to the workshop and. Pauses. ]

...Whatcha up to, Anna?

[ Besides teddy bear murder?? ]

Putting this abomination out of my misery. It's an eyesore. But aside from that, I thought I ought to make some cushions. It's simple enough.

[nothingcanstop]

Can't argue there. You know, that's a good idea. I was never all that great at crafts like this, so it didn't occur to me.

[emberserker]

I haven't done it in some time. [She sighs.] I used to, though, as a child.

[nothingcanstop]

Oh yeah? What kinds of things did you make?

[Sly's... keeping away from the water, for the most part. Is he a fan of swimming? No. Is he going to watch other people potentially mess up? Sure.

And speaking of,]

I... wouldn't advise doing that!

[emberserker]

I'm trying to see if I can get a different view. He's got to have a reason for this place.

Uh, it's a slide. What kind of "different view" are you expecting?

[Just... watching this happen.]

I know it's a slide! But when you're going down it, you don't see very much because it's fast, do you?

I'm pretty sure that's not the point of slides. [but hey] So, do you see anything yet?

Vending Machine

[drladysounds]

...I guess I understand you don't like toys, but that was a little excessive.

[Shelley, not the time to make comments]

[emberserker]

It's not about toys. [She glares and stabs the sword again.] The Professor is taunting me.

[drladysounds]

[Huh. Guess that answers a few things, she thinks. Shelley not very subtly says upwards, like she's trying to make the Professor hear her]

...of course he is. He doesn't have anything better to do.

[Shelley doesn't approve. But hey, Anna...]

Is it a bad idea to ask how he taunts you with that?

[Anna takes a deep breath, grip tightening on the spear.]

Ernesta's ARMANOX. Before I woke up here, I had her in my grasp. I was going to deal with her and fix everything, and then I ended up in this deathtrap instead!
