WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

I...guess to someone unfamiliar with it, it really would seem disrespectful. And...I can't say I really know how the dinosaurs would feel, they all died out a long, long time ago.

There are those that display trophies from hunting and the like. While I dislike them I understand why they are there. Even one of the professors back at the academy I know keeps an anatomical model. [Yet.] It... merely surprised me after the recent events.

[ How do you talk about someone being a dragon...? ]

Dragons are...not really common, where I'm from. I can't say I've met too many, and...well, the ones I have weren't really interested in talking.

I could not say that we were common in Fodlan either even at our peak. [Even before... everything. There were other colonies elsewhere, presumably, but it's not as if they were in contact that much.

Though, there is a bit of a wry hint to her voice when she talks:] Admittedly, if I am forced to change my form I would rather not speak either. Seteth lost his ability many years ago but the Professor was smart enough to suppress mine.

[I mean she doesn't exactly look like a dragon.]

I expect we're talking about two different things, here. Your kind sounds different, from even legends of dragons in my world.

It is likely... Mira did recognize a drawing of my, ah, other form as a 'dragon'. Not that I admitted it was me at the time. [Though...] But we likely are different. Mother came from the Blue Sea Star, after all.

[I know Della likes stars... How good is she at recognizing different names for stars? Because Seiros sure does sound like a certain star.]

...A star? You mean like...an alien?

Alien...? Well, I suppose we were foreign. Mother chose Fodlan as her home after traveling far. You can see the star shining bright blue in the sky most of the year; sometimes even during the day. I have not seen beyond the continent myself, however.

Whoa. You're talking about...Sirius, the dog star? That's...that's coming from space talk.

The dog star? It is associated with wolves... If only I had my star charts...

[Which she won't get because I only found out about them after the game started.]

It could just be stars that resemble each other. I've run into enough similar-but-different parts of our worlds. Either way, it definitely sounds like a space origin.

I do believe you would be correct there... Admittedly, I could not tell you much beyond that was where Mother was from.

It's fine. It just...gives me a little more perspective, honestly.
