Another Saturday gone and just like that you wake on Sunday, down five of your number. The largest dent taken out of you at once so far - it's surely noticeable, the head count being cut by a third. Almost enough to make you wonder how many of you will even be left by the next motive or two. Surely this isn't a sustainable rate for body counts to increase... right?

There's a new and, it looks like, final wing of the building to explore, bringing everything full circle. Maybe you'll get some more answers to some of the questions and mysteries of this place there - or at least, you can certainly hope for them. Time to turn your investigative eyes towards one last batch of rooms, who knows what you might find?

Angel remains around at night, her appearances much more common now that... well, she's certainly seen a downtick in necessary surveillance work, hasn't she? The app giving you a line to The Professor remains open, and well... whatever's going on with that ouija in the library continues to happen! You're not suffering from a shortage of leads, at least, even as things get more bizarre.

Something's going to have to give here, eventually. Right?

[ After the motive announcement, Rin can be found in the library. It's something of a repeat of her first week here, with Rin seated at one of the tables with only her tablet in front of herself. But this time, her magic circuits are working; this time, she can use spirit hacking to investigate the device.

Incidentally, she can also be found lurking around the elevator access and vending machine throughout the day for similar reasons.

Speaking of the vending machine, she has some junk she needs to get rid of, too. Most of it is the usual fare, which she leaves displayed in front of the television in the lounge. Notably, though, two things have been set aside: a pendant she assumes must belong to someone here, and a hair ornament in the shape of a lily.

...It might also be noteworthy that, while Rin keeps half an eye on the junk she's laid out, the better part of her attention seems to be on one of the vending machine diamonds rolled between her fingertips. ]

[ Okay, so! I'll start with the simple answers here.

When she tries to hack the door, something resists it. The power is working, but it looks like there's either someone magically counter-hacking or just a contingency built into the machine.

The vending machine, uh. The powers don't work. It's like it isn't even a real device.

You feel like you're being watched the rest of the time you're in the room, the temperature noticeably dropping a couple degrees.

The device, though, is hackable! There's not a lot of extra stuff stored on it, but you do get access to a folder titled locked content. ]

[ Hm! All of that is very interesting!

With that said, that's exactly the kind of thing she was looking for on the device! What does she get when she opens up the locked content folder? ]

[ It looks like it's actually a small number of extra applications. There's Music, Report Submissions, Test Subject Data, and Facility Data. ]

[ The first thing Rin does is open up the Test Subject Data application. Is there anything in there aside from what shows up in their profiles? ]

[ It looks like a list of all the test subjects here! Unfortunately, if you click on anything, you get an ERROR: File format not compatible message. ]

[ Damn.

Okay, let's try Facility Data next, then. ]

[ It's a readout of various graphs and things collecting data about the facility. Everything seems to be in the green! ]

[mouflon]

[ ...Oh. She thinks she gets what this is, actually. She backs out and selects Report Submissions to confirm. ]

[ It looks like a simple word processor, with a Submit button near the top. There are a couple notifications, too: REMINDER: Next report due Wednesday ]

[ Yeah.

Rin types The kiln needs instructions, idiot. and hits submit. ]
