WEEK 2
So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.
No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

[ ooc: Welcome to Week 2, your first case week! Remember to turn in regains here, your AC for last week here, and if you like, come visit Angel's office hours here!

Mira's feeling particularly restless, so she... actually ends up going to the gym. She does some stretches here, but most notable is that she's trying--very hard, but not doing very well at all--to take on one of those punching bags. Her form very much sucks, mostly because she's never done this before, but... everyone starts somewhere, right? ... Right.
After that, she heads to the library to return some books she's been reading, and she, as usual, spends some time there. She seems to be taking some notes, too, but she's also investigating the crime books.
And then--she heads to the vending machine to put in more of those coins. She ends up with a bit of junk again--is that a map? huh--but when she puts one certain coin in, what she gets is-- ]
Wh-- h-how did you get in there?!
[ That sure is a dog. Who seems extremely happy to see Mira. She pulls her close, looking stunned, before she starts checking her to make sure the poor thing is okay. ]
I can't believe you were in there...
gym
Ah--Mira? Excuse me, you seem to be having some difficulty.

Oh-- Rhea. I've... never done this, so...

I know a few things that might make it a little easier on you, Mira.

B-but it's more than that-- She's mine. From home.

[ He'll state simply, watching the curious animal with hardly much interest. But, all dogs are good in his book. Well, most. ]
What's her name?
no subject
[ An actual baby, who keeps trying very hard to go to Vincent. ]
Daisy. [ Her ears perk up at her name. ] Behave yourself, okay?

She is interested in seeing if there are any accounts of, say, crimes she would be familiar with. We're talking Ted Bundys and Gary Ridgways, stuff like that.
Mostly, she's trying to gauge if whoever's in charge here might be familiar with her world and time. ]

There are a few real-world models used as examples, that's where Mira's going to find actual indications of crime. You like DB Cooper, Mira? The author sure writes a pretty scathing review of his work. Jeanne de Valois-Saint-Rémy gets a chapter near the start of one of these, there's plenty of historical figures named in there. The closest any of these books really get to a Ted Bundy is the book on forming cults for monetary gain, which makes reference to several real-world ones. ]

Alright, let's head to the psychology section, if no one's investigated that! Mostly she's looking for stuff on social psychology experiments, like.... the Stanford Prison Experiment, for example. ]

[ Rhea had given her some tips earlier but, ah.... ]

[ If she were as small and weak as Mira, and two eight foot tall alien warriors were also here, she'd probably be trying to get swole too. ]

Where did you get a dog? The live worms were one thing, but don't tell me that came out of the prize machine.

[ Daisy is lounging in Mira's lap, but when Anna speaks, she perks up and regards her curiously. ]
Just like everything else, but... she doesn't seem to be hurt, or anything.
no subject
[Anna doesn't give the poor dog any attention, just turns back to the machine.]
I suppose it'll hold all kinds of things. Size doesn't matter in there, either.

[Hi, Mira. Oh my god Aela's so done with the crazy tech here. Everything is magic until proven otherwise, including how a dog was able to be in that vending machine full of weapons without being injured.]
no subject
[ HONESTLY. There was just a whole-ass dog in there, but she seems okay! ]
She... wasn't in a carrier or anything, either, but at least she's not hurt.

Whoa...! Look at the size of...! Where'd you find this cute pup?!
[ ...This is a human-proportioned corgi, not a duck-proportioned corgi, so. She looks a bit bigger to Della than she's used to. ]

She came out of the vending machine, if you can believe it.

[ duck tantrum count: 2 ]
What kind of scumbag would even do something so absolutely-- [ So her voice keeps going higher and it's turning into just angry noises. ] I can't believe him!
