FOURTH TRIAL
[ Well! That's sure something, isn't it? There may or may not be a lot of you excited to get down to business, but Jones does eventually move to collect you all and bring you to the theatre. It's a familiar routine by now, perhaps even comfortingly so given the irregularities of this particular killing.
Two of you gone this week. The elevator is started to feel downright spacious, don't you think?
A shanty, as usual, echoes from the crew of the Dutchman as you enter. The room is the same as it has ever been before you as the elevator settles into position. ]
To yer positions, passengers. Chins up.
[ Three more podiums claimed by the rust and wear.
You have your evidence, and you're going to need it before long. The music outside dies down.
Welcome to your fourth trial. ]

Voting Time
[Jack's voice cuts through the dying commotion of All That. He's still his annoyingly full-of-it self... even if there seems to be less bluster.]
Now that it's settled... It looks like there's only one thing left to do.
[The podiums light up.]
Get to voting. And I'll give you a hint: it's not the ghost.

[Sorry, he's not taking chances here. Even if he's casting a sad look in Lorna's direction.]
Jones, be kind to her?

And thankful, for not being left behind.]

[he recognizes it's probably good for him and everyone else that the courtroom is dry right now
but man]

I'm sorry, Lorna.
[His words are hollow. Empty. As if apologies will do any good at this point. He types in his vote, perhaps a bit more slowly than normal.]
> THE UNFORTUNATE ONE

Please, Jones. Be merciful.

Flayn just. Looks at Lorna with all the tears and grief that's in her heart and hugs her.]
You are still my friend. The Goddess will protect you, I promise.
[She can't exactly call up
BylethSothis and ask Grandma for a favor here, but...if she believes hard enough, anything is possible, right? She'll go and vote before returning to Lorna's side to hold her hand until it's time.
>The Unfortunate One]

I... I really am unworthy, but... I will take at least this happiness with me, as my last memory.
[Do you really gotta say it like that, Lorna.]

[So says Saint Cethleann.]

[ This is...this one might be too much. Between Allenby and now Lorna... ]
Fuck...
[ She can't keep doing this. ]

[Gods, fuck this entire day. She wishes she had some sort of obscene gesture to throw at the Captain for this, but really, this day's been a Lot.]

[Filbo sighs]
I'm sorry, Lorna.
