FIFTH TRIAL
[ It's not terribly long, once everything has been found, before Davy Jones heads out to round you all up once more and take you into the theatre. At least plenty of you are around the same area, so it probably doesn't take terribly long.
The ride down to the trial room is the same as ever - a blast of the organ, a slow descent. It's really starting to become clear, though, just how your numbers are decreasing. You're already down three, counting the absence of Chloe, potentially more when you come back up.
The crew of the Dutchman is singing as Jones lets you out into the trial room. ]
To business, passengers. I am about if you need guidance.
[ The circle of podiums is less populated than ever. So many of you are islands now, so to speak.
The song dies down, the waters quiet.
Welcome to your fifth trial.. ]

I examined Decus' body. First of all, he wasn't wearing his usual outfit, instead he was wearing the tie-dye t-shirt under his jacket. He also had six knives stabbed into his torso. Only one of those wounds bled, and the injury there was a little odd; it was torn and messed up around the edges. Those knives were from the vending machine, of course. There was also a shallow, minor stab wound in his upper left arm. It seems that could have been made by the knives as well. [But that isn't 100% confirmed, so it isn't in bold.] Decus also was hit in the forehead with something blunt, though I was unable to determine anything more about what could have caused that. There was also a small pool of blood under him, which seems to have come from the chest wound.
Finally, he seemed ill. I believe he may have been poisoned, but I couldn't tell you with what exactly. Whatever it was seemed to be very mild, however; I think it's very unlikely that it was what killed him.
I also found this [holding up Decus' multipuprose murdergame device] next to him. As you can see, there's a heart drawn in blood on here. It should likely go without saying that Decus drew it around Alice's picture.
[It was specifically on the motive picture if you want to look for yourselves!!
Oh right, and—]
I also saw that some of the floral patterned fabric in the crafts room was clumsily cut; it seems that some of it was removed. Nothing else was tampered with.

That's his sword, by the way, in case anyone had a moment of doubt. Gave it back to him this week.

[Who stabs a guy like that after he's dead?? It seems excessive, even for revenge.]

If only one of the wounds bled, the others might've been made after he died.

That was my thought as well. It could have been to try to disguise exactly what happened, but given that they're all the same knives...
[Well, that one doesn't really work, does it?]

You said the edges looked strange? Like the skin had been torn up? It might be that the wound wasn't made by any of the knives.
