Another week, another three gone in the case alone, not to mention Chloe earlier in the week. Even as you gain access to another floor, the ship by now must be starting to feel more empty than ever. It's been a long time by now, approaching two months.

Where do you think you'll be, in two months more time?

The clouds have begun to gather around the ship, this week.

[Reika is finally able to do magic! Finally.]

I am. [She's brought some sea foam colored paint and... are those stickers? Are those fish stickers? They are!] I'm not good enough to draw things myself but I thought we could use these.

[You know in Steven Universe when Steven sees a thing and his eyes get stars in them

Flayn's are doing whatever the Fire Emblem equivalent of that would be right now.]

We absolutely must use those.

[She giggles to herself. Jack used to do that all the time--she picks up some fish-scale like stickers and actual decals of fish.]

I'm glad you approve. Which do you prefer?

[Flayn hums softly as she thinks it over...]

...This one, please.

[The fish scales!]

Ah, subtle, I like it! Now, you'll have to sit still.

[She reaches out for Flayn's hand. Reika seems to have made sure her hands are nice and soft today--it even smells like she splashed some essential oils on like perfume.]

I'll make you as cute as a button.

[And Flayn is very, very still, though obviously a little unused to having her hands be so still. She's doing her best, though! Very good listener, this one.]

When I had heard of this sort of thing in Fodlan, all I knew of it was the painting part. Not any designs. And only noblewomen went to the trouble. Maybe some noblemen, if they felt like it.

Admittedly, I never really saw such fancy things back home but I know some of the basics. I'm a fast learner.

[She giggles.]

More natural colors are more in fashion but sometimes a little flash is necessary.

Is that so? Hm...I cannot say I know the trends for painted nails back home. But I am sure it is not an issue.

[Flayn would love to be fashionable, but they're on a boat, who cares.]

You don't have anyone you have an eye on here, then?

[She's just making small talk as she paints Flayn's nails, of course.]

An eye on...?

[It takes her a minute to parse what that might mean-]

Oh! You mean - you mean someone I fancy, yes?

That's exactly what I meant, yes.

[She's giggling now.]

[Flayn finds herself giggling as well.]

Oh, ah - I am not sure! Truthfully, I have been a bit preoccupied by...everything.

[Everything horrible, or everything new? Yes!]

But...hm. I do like most everyone I have met here. And I have wondered, perhaps a bit idly, what it might be like to...oh, but maybe it is silly to think such things! Have we not other concerns?

[She's does feel a touch guilty about imagining things like that, but she is a young lady at heart...]

That makes sense. This ship is quite an experience.

The heart works in mysterious ways, Flayn. I'm still a young woman, myself.

[She might not be considered a maiden anymore--far from it--but she's still young enough to talk about such things.]

I admit someone has caught my fancy. I doubt I have a chance.

How are you certain unless you try? I...perhaps I shall give it some more thought tonight for myself, and see what can be done. [And that'll likely lead to an enroaching sense of dread, but hey, it's cool] So if I am trying, then you ought to try as well!
