Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

One who kidnaps twenty plus people and traps them in several rooms? [ There's a duh at the end of the sentence which is heavily implied. ]

I am aware of what he has done, but all I did was fall asleep outside my room. Why would he want to punish someone for sleeping somewhere. There wasn't anything that was going to harm us, right?

It's about control. There are more than a couple of reasons why he choose to punish you, ranging from setting an example, to just wanting to keep things orderly so he can observe us, to because he felt like it.

Six hours isn't all that bad, either. I would've left you in here at least an entire day.

I suppose if he left me here longer he would have to consider whether he should feed me or not.

[There is a pause, before:]

... But I am not sure if I will be able to leave once time runs out, or if he has more horrors in store for me.

[buriedstar]

Hm, that's true.

[ There's definitely merit in giving someone hope and then taking it away... ]

Did you see how you got in here in the first place? Or did you just wake up here?

I simply woke up here. I have no idea how he could have brought me here without waking me up, or why he couldn't just wake me up.

He wanted to punish you, so he wouldn't do that. As for as how you got here, there are more than a few ways. Showing his face in person is the most unlikely, but it's possible he has robots, familiars, or even used a spell.

Anything that shows some of his hand would have been worth the punishment, but either he's cautious or you're an incredibly deep sleeper.

Perhaps I am just fated to be tortured by horrifying monsters.

[Which is not an idea he likes to consider but he's starting to notice a pattern.]

I suppose he must have done some sort of spell that at least made me unable to wake up while he put me in this prison.

Your luck stat must be terrible.

[ Being able to blame your misfortune on actual math helps. ]

It's probably the same way he got us here, or at least something close to it. I'd say ask him about it, but I don't think he's the chatty type.
