Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[Once again, Misfire visits the vending machine. This time, he doesn't think much of it's worth the ideal of the swap shop for, so a good load of it just gets carried on back to his room.

He can be found later in the library doing something that is...pretty explicitly not reading. He's stacked a bunch of books into pillars and placed the coconut and lemons from the vending machine on top of each of them. In one hand he holds a nerf gun, and in the other he idly swings a rosary. It's clear he's doing some kind of target practice, but evidenced by the foam darts on the floor, it's not going particularly well.]

[ Would you know what, the Undertaker has actually set up some kinda swap shop himself. It's a random assortment even he sees little use for...

He did notice the coconut on the books. And then the lemons. ]

... Why don't you put those in the kitchen? [ gesturing at the fruit. ] More useful in there than the library.

[dullshooter]

[He feels...judged. Perhaps.]

I'm making use of them here, aren't I?

[giddyundertaker]

[ He giggles a bit. ]

Really? Now what do you think you are trying to do with them here?

[dullshooter]

Something between target practice and making an enjoyable mess.

[It's more towards the latter. He offers the gun in the Undertaker's general direction.]

You want a go?

[giddyundertaker]

Bah. [ He waves dismissively. ] Not today.

[ Then he turns to face his yard sard and gets an idea. ]

You want more things to shoot at, though?

[dullshooter]

[Wow he really said ‘bah’ without the humbug. Misfire is delighted.]

Always. What’ve you got?

[giddyundertaker]

Hm... [ He wanders over to his selection of junk and picks out the Big Daddy plushie and the creepy clown doll. ]

Here, use these. [ He tosses the toys in Misfire's direction. Catch! ]

[Despite the incident yesterday, Jonathan finds himself back in the library many times since he got out. So it's not a shock when he comes back in to look at what the library has to offer.

When he sees Misfire playing with a bunch of random items, he doesn't think much of it at first. But when he goes to walk away, he suddenly sees something flash out of the corner of his eyes.

The rosary.

He speed walks to where Misfire is doing target practice, looking somewhat frantic.]

E-excuse me, Misfire, where did you get that rosary?]

[dullshooter]

[Geez, he didn't even know Jonathan could go that fast. It's mildly startling.]

Where'd I get that what?

[He idly flicks the rosary about again. He has no idea what it is.]

[hotpaprika]

The rosary! It looks identical to mine!

[He gestures at the rosary he's swinging around before he tries to grab it.]

[dullshooter]

Oh, you mean this thing? - Hey!

[In not keeping a particularly tight grip on it, it’s pretty easy for Jonathan to grab the rosary.]

Aren’t you supposed to be the kind of guy who’s all about his pleases and thank yous?

Oh, my apologies. Thank you for finding this for me.

[He is... reluctant to say "please".]

[What fortunate phrasing, Jonathan.]

For you, Johnny, I'm happy to. Now, considering I went through the arudous effort of spending my hard earned cash on getting your precious rosemary back, I thiiink that means you're once again in the position of 'owing me one', correct?

[This... sure is a thing to walk in on. Um. Hi, Misfire?]

[Oh, hey Roissu. We’re being very serious over here.]

[He turns to Roissu and offers the nerf gun.]

You want in on this?

[This is clearly the most serious anyone has ever been.]

No thank you. [does he look like he knows how to have fun.] How long have you been at it?

[dullshooter]

[Misfire scratches his chin.]

Hard to tell. Feels like time passes different in a library. Could've been three hours or thirty minutes. I can only use foam darts as a unit of measurement.

[There's quite a few scattered, but also he may have been picking them up and popping them back in so who can know?]

[Ah, the mystery of the passage of time in a library... Rossiu nods because yeah that one does legit make sense.]

I take it even that isn't particularly effective, given you've likely had to reload it a few times by now.

[...okay, he might sound faintly amused now.]

[He’s the people’s jester. Look upon him and laugh, Roissu.]

…Yeah. You could try to sound less sure of it though.

[He’s not actually that caught up on it.]

Guess the question of how long I’ve been in here belongs up there with the other great mysteries of the universe. Any reason you were asking?

I was surprised to see you using the library for target practice when some of the other rooms may work just as well or better.

[Not that he's throwing shade or anything with that, it's just a comment.]
