Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[Zinda's got her hand on Jonathan's collar just as quick as Floyd moves for him.]

He's right, cuz. We have to be smart about this.

Being smart means ruling out all possible options, right? We should see if punching works.

[ok but whats jonathan gonna do other than break his hand]

[Jonathan tries tearing himself away from Zinda and Floyd, not harsh enough to hurt either of them, but it's a strange amount of harshness from someone so gentle.]

I don't care. How am I supposed to stand by as these monsters torment our loved ones for their own demented schemes?

I’m not asking you to stand by.

But you gotta be smart about this.

[He's practically flailing now, tears of frustration and despair welling up in his eyes.]

But Mina, my Mina... She doesn't deserve any of this! She's too pure to go through this kind of suffering! What sort of fiance am I if I can't...

["Protect her"]

[ Floyd adjusts his stance as Jonathan flails around, planting his feet so he can't get any closer to Eleanor. ]

We can't do anything for them if we're hurt too, penguin. How're you gonna help that way, huh? Be smart.

[ Yes, that's absolutely Jonathan's fishsona. ]

Either way, Water Fountain guy wins this round. For now, nothin's happening to them. Let's keep it that way.

[God, he was right. He was absolutely right and there was nothing Jonathan could say that could refute this.

He stops struggling and is instead overcome with complete despair. He covers his face to hide his tears.]

This isn't fair. This is absolutely not fair!

[Zinda releases his collar then—- but only so she can wrap her arms around him, and tug him back into a hug.]

I know, Champ. I know. And I’m not tellin you to give up or stop tryin.

[ Floyd is not the best at comforting people, but he definitely gets it.

He carefully eases up on Jonathan, backing away and letting Zinda take over. ]

[She doesn’t want to embarrass poor Jonathan anymore than he already is— so she just winks at Floyd, a silent thank you.]
