Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[The books are... well, they're not really one to one for what she'd be using at school, most likely. But it's close enough, for this.

If nothing else, it will keep her mind sharp.]

It's been a while, but do you want a tutor? I can't promise anything in the language department unless you're learning Korean, though.

Ah-- Really? That would be a big help.

I have a lot of free time here, and I like to keep myself busy.

Mm, I've done my best to memorize everyone's names. But it's nice to meet you more officially, Dawon-san. I'm Mafuyu Asahina.

The profiles are just that, and they lack more than a fair bit of context, so I agree.

Some of them seem a little lacking. And then some just seem... rather silly, mm?

Silly, stupid, salacious...I tried to get him to add his profile to the list, but he doesn't want to play even when he makes the rules.

[ Which is very well, silly. The Mayor could write anything he wants about himself! ]

I almost want to see just what he'd even put on there. Something outrageously untrue, I'm certain.

[buriedstar]

There's no fun in blatantly outrageous lies, though I wouldn't put it past him. I'll try again later, since he strikes me as the type that can be appealed to by virtue of his ego.

Mm. So, flattery will get you everywhere, right?

[She doesn't necessarily make a note of it, but. Interesting. There's definitely an ego there, yeah.]

...Have you spoken to him a lot?

With most people, yes.

[ There's always exceptions...but it still pays to know the trends. ]

No, not at all. But dealing with clashing egos is just part of the job. [ A beat. ] As a guild leader, not a mage.

Hmmm... What sort of guild is it, anyway? It sounds pretty impressive.

Though maybe a little exhausting, too. Having to deal with that on a regular basis.

[buriedstar]

Rising to the number one spot should be exhausting sometimes, it probably wouldn't be worth it if it wasn't. [ This might be why he gets the whole study thing because he too is a person who can't stop won't stop. ]

Red Lotus doesn't specialize in anything besides I guess, being the best of the best? [ He laughs, since that wasn't entirely seriously. ] We're outmatched in crafting by Master Workshop when on a grand scale, and number of bounties completed by Red Dragon. But on an individual level, we craft the best items, just not in bulk. The same goes for bounties, where we take on the most difficult ones.

Quality over quantity.
