Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[ Let's start with the shelves! He's going to be able to get a decent look at them as he removes books to flip through anyway. Anything out of the ordinary? He will do a tap-tap on the naked shelf to see if it feels any different than it should. ]

[ The shelves are all pretty sturdy - though the first thing to note is that the free-standing ones all seem to have been installed after the room was carpeted. ]

[ Redecorating, huh? Seo Dawon knows how that goes just by way of Garam. Anything else to note about the shelves? He will push them just to see if he can move them or if anything weird happens; he's not swole but he's not a stick either since even mages should care about their body! ]

[ Yep! Seems like this room used to be laid out differently.

No secret passages or anything as far as he can tell, but there's something wedged behind one of the shelves! ]

[ What do we have here? He'll try to get as much leverage as he can and shimmy out whatever it is, carefully. ]

[ Looks like an audio tape! ]

[ Another one of these, really. Info is info but his 20XX self is wondering why it couldn't be something a little more modern. Anyway! He'll go back to his room to play this in a bit, but before that he's going to flip through the books he took out from this shelf. Anything odd or something that shouldn't be in them? ]

[ Who can say?

Anyway, examining the books will reveal that not only are there no history books in here, but the whole history section seems to have been removed. ]

[ Note: History is the Mayor's least favorite subject...but got it! He'll go ahead and put all the books back with care, even if it might be more than the Mayor deserves.

Anything else to note in this area? He will poke at the rug with his shoe for good measure. ]

[ Nope, that's it in here! Go play that funky cassette tape. ]

[ Once he's back to his room, cassette time! What's going on this time? ]

[ The first thing of note is the background noise - it sounds like a social gathering of some kind - music and chatter. It's not like there are hundreds of people, but there's a decent number.

Fontaine, without the usual distortion, cuts in above the noise. ]

Alright, alright, settle down, all of ya! It's time!

[ And then all the voices join in. ]

Ten...!

Nine...!

Eight...!

Seven...!

Six...!

Five...!

Four...!

Three...!

Two...!

One...!

[ There's laughter and cheering, and above the crowd, Fontaine speaks again. ]

Happy new year, Founders.

[ And then, very abruptly, the tape cuts off. ]
