Week 2
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?
While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.
Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[ ooc: Welcome to the second week of Unknown Seas Round 3! Please make sure to mark any investigation toplevels accordingly, and you can reach either Mayor Fontaine or Eleanor for conversations! ]

[This nickname is now double-pronged.]

[She says and grabs the chair again, hefting it up]
Try not to stick me in random places this time, Yasuhiro Hagakure.
[Not that she was upset about it]
no subject
How was I supposed to know that was you?!
[Obviously he didn't pay too much mind to the specifics of Aiba's profile, or this might not be quite as much of a shock.]
You're tryin' to tell me this is what you've been the whole time and not a regular girl?!
no subject
[Aiba swings the chair at the glass]
What you have been seeing all this time is an image I project into your retinas -- augmented reality, in other words.
1/2
Aibo, d'you realize how much of an invasion of privacy that is?
[And then ANOTHER realization as he flashes back to Fontaine's arrival...]
no subject
You knew all along! You knew there's gonna be a robot uprising because you're in on it!!
no subject
[Whooops, up she goes! Aiba feels very justified for having decided to try to keep her form hidden -- this proves she was right in doing that, secrecy aside. She's just really vulnerable]
Are you an idiot?! It was a joke! Leave those robot uprising ideas in third-rate fiction!
[That was partly your fault, Aiba. Aiba glares at him, her paws in his fingers to try to stop getting squeezed. It's not all that entirely successful]
Now let go of me or I will explode in your face!
[Her typical empty threat when she's annoyed with her partner, yeah]
no subject
With a yelp, he drops Aiba onto the floor.
...
And then he immediately realizes that he's been duped.]
Like you'd really explode! If you had backups somewhere else, you'd've done it day one to get away!

commits some invasion of privacy at hagakureprojects herself. It's easier to emote when you have a face. There's the small Aiba lying on the floor, and the human one standing right behind her, arms crossed]I am fit with a self-destruct function in case of being stolen by third parties, obviously. [She can't activate it herself because her programming makes her aim for self-preservation. Aiba needs admin order to self-destruct] But being worlds away from home I can't contact the system with my memory backups. Were I to self-destruct, I would have no memory of anything going on here. There's no point in getting away if I can't remember everybody else is still trapped here.
[Can't do anything about this murdergame from the outside if she can't remember it even is happening]
no subject
Wait, so...you coulda just up and bounced outta this at any time but you're staying here for us?
no subject
[Aiba nods]
It would take someone particularly callous to leave and do nothing about any of this.
[She doesn't really consider herself a police agent, she just happens to be one's assistant, but still, self-preservation aside, leaving everyone up to their own devices feels wrong to her]
no subject
Well... Um. Thanks.
[He feels very awkward right now. After rubbing the back of his head a little...]
Sorry for squeezing you. This whole thing is just...a lot. But you know that.
no subject
[Seems to her that if someone has killing intent and manages to capture her, she's likely to die. Ack, the curse of being small and frail!]
I suppose under the circumstances I can't blame you. Even after going through experiences such as yours, I believe it would be alarming if you were to react calmly.
[Because then it means you're getting numb and used to murdergames]
