Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

Patrolling; let's say outside the meeting room

[kninja]

You're out late, Chief.

[As is Obi, of course. Rather than patrolling, it seems he's temporarily stationed himself outside the meeting room, back to the wall and arms crossed, looking for all the world like some kind of lanky, medieval bouncer. He keeps his voice low and quiet, in keeping with the hour.]

[timegazer]

[Ah, Obi. Adaman isn't too surprised to see him when he makes his rounds; if anything, Adaman smiles easily at the other man and keeps his voice low.]

Ah, Obi. Well met; I simply cannot abide by laying idle, so...here I am. [He doesn't dare go into the meeting room again, but...] How are they faring, in there? No worse for wear, I hope?

[kninja]

[He nods.]

No changes from before. Some of them are sleeping now. ...Oh.

[Like something's just occurred to him, Obi grimaces slightly and rubs the back of his head.]

Guess I oughta warn more of us not to try the same to get inside.

[timegazer]

[Adaman nods his head to that at first, though the last bit seems to get a bit of a head tilt and some concern??]

What? What happened to you? I assume you were not successful, all considered, but...?

Instead of the glass room, His Honor and I got dropped in the garden pond. One of my ruder awakenings, to be honest.

[Like, it could have been worse, but.]

[...Almighty Sinnoh above???]

Well, that's...certainly far less bad than what could've been done, I suppose. But that wretched man really does have a plan for everything, doesn't he?

[So they've really no way inside...]

...I am glad to see that you didn't make it out too horribly, at least.

It was a shallow part, so no harm done except to our dignity.

[And Obi has little enough of that.]

Still, next time could be worse, so I don't want anyone else trying it. 'Least, not on purpose.

[timegazer]

I suppose that is true. There is no telling when the punishments for such things could very possibly grow quite severe, and...the last thing we need is anything happening to the lot of us.

[Adaman's voice is surprisingly firm when he gives voice to that, at the very least. Perhaps a little tired, but...]

Still--see it fit that you get some proper rest in your room at some point, Obi. We all need to stay sharp in this place; for our sake, and theirs.

[kninja]

[He blinks, laughs, and then smiles at Adaman.]

Haha. Understood--but right back atcha, Chief. Don't stay up too late past your bedtime worrying about us all. You're needed, too.
