Week 2
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?
While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.
Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to the second week of Unknown Seas Round 3! Please make sure to mark any investigation toplevels accordingly, and you can reach either Mayor Fontaine or Eleanor for conversations! ]

[He goes back to looking through the glass, just...seeing what everyone is doing moreso than seeking out one specific person.]
I also feel terrible that she's in there... She doesn't deserve any of this, though I'm sure that could be said for many people that are there.
[Midori did nothing wrong, outside of being like a fifteen year old girl in a Fire Emblem game.]

[…well, none of the kids do. He’s not sure about nandor’s weird little gremlin and grimlock honestly, even if he’s generally pro-grimlock on account of him being a cool robot. but like. by and large.]
Of course, the same could be said for many of us, even if we have more freedoms at present. We are not dealing with any notions of justice here.

I'm...really not sure what we're supposed to do. Outside of what he wants us to do.

I am far more used to being able to solve my problems through force, but there are too many unknowns to mount any kind of offensive. I do not exactly see a way to test our captors’ power without sacrificing anyone, particularly given that they have removed magic as an option from those who can use it.
We can continue to keep searching for cracks in their armor, of course, but we do not have the luxury of time.

[He's used to talk like this; if anything, he finds it comforting, in a way. Reminds him of the army.]
...This would be much easier if my uncles were here. They're better at strategy and tactics and the like than I am.

[they’re like. fortysome right. maybe late thirties at the youngest right.]
no subject
[...He seems to realize how that sounds as soon as that's out there.]
...It's...due to magic things again...

I… see…?
[no he doesn’t.]
…
Should I ask for details, or am I better off not knowing.

[We're off to a great start.]
Time works differently there. It moves...faster, I think, compared to the world I'm supposed to come from. So I aged much more quickly than my family back home did.

I… why, though. I suppose I can see it being useful for preserving the line of succession, but…

[Like, to keep them safe from the war, sure, but they all just ended up joining anyway...?]

I am sure there must have been some logic behind it. Even if it is not immediately apparent...
